who friggin cares. The players sure don't. I think many of you guys take this league too seriously. Do you honestly think Rasheed Wallace is gonna shed a tear if Larry Brown leaves? Do you think he has love for the game?

Sure the players want to win. But Larry Brown leaving is zero motivation for either side. Detroit isn't gonna quit. These guys are profesionals and I use that term loosely. The NBA is a business. Coaches and players leave all the time. If Miami wins its an excuse for Detroit people. If Detroit wins, they can say Brown leaving was motivation to send him out a winner.

Him going or leaving has zero affect on tonights game or the series. There's no love lost between any NBA coach and their players. This isn't high school or college, this is big business NBA. Fans like to think these players actually care about anything other than money. Sure some do, but most don't. Tell em when to show up on payday and they will play on the court.

Michael Jordan wanted to win, Magic Johnson wanted to win. Larry Bird wanted to win. Theres NOBODY like these guys left in the NBA. These players would play for free for a title. Do you actually think these players care if their coach is leaving? Not a chance. Why? Because they get paid the same win or lose.

Him going or leaving is completely irrelevant. Detroit can bounce back and win the series if they stop Wade. Period. If he continues to shred them like he did in games 2 and 3 then they can't. Period. Scott 4 USC, you know i like you but you say in another post that you aren't impressed with Miami as a team without Shaq and Wade. Well that's the point. The team goes as they go. Take away Jabaar and Johnson, Michael and Scottie, Bird and Mchale from any of the championship teams, Shaq and Kobe from early 2000 Lakers. You can win an NBA championship with 2 players and a supporting cast. If you really like the team concept, I guess you can say 1-5 detroit is probably better, but Miami has the best 2 players on the court in the series. So Miami has the players ranked 1-2 and Detroit can have 3-8 in the rankings if you want. In games 2 and 3, the best two players on the court won the game. Period.

Series is far from over. Detroit can come back if they can stop Wade. It's that simple. I don't think they can and am still confident in my future wager on miami winning the east. But its basketball and anything can happen.

I agree with everything you said about Brown and Pistons. Brown will continue to coach and Pistons will continue to play. I find it odd that a team would quit after playing a whole season and competing so hard to beat Indiana after being down 2-1. Hell, this could be positive situation and maybe Detroit wants to win out for Larry Brown? :mj07:

My point was if Miami is getting great games from Shaq and especially Wade, shouldn't they put away Detroit? Why did Detroit have a very good chance at beating Miami in game 2 @Miami and game 3 @Detroit when Detroit clearly played below average.

??????

That was my point. If Miami was so good and they are getting great games from Wade and Shaq, then why can't they put away a team who is clearly playing below average.

I agree as well.

I would imagine there will be plenty of folks betting Miami just because they think Detroit isn't focused.

I'm liking my Detroit play more and more.

I think Detroit could play the game without the coach anyway. They've played together as a team basically for the last 2 years. Coach is there for time-outs to stop runs. He starts the same line-up every game. I know coaching is important but at this stage of the game, a coach isn't going to make drastic changes so I just feel Detroit would be just fine on their own. They could give 2 shits if Brown is their coach. They want the ring plain and simple.

JMO which probably will irk some folks.

this whole larry brown thing is getting blown out of the water. i just watched ATH and PTI and those were the 1st 2 topics of each show. i cant wait for this game to be over tonight, its doing nothing but given me a headache since yesterday afternoon.

IMO- coach/no coach, shaq/no shaq, good game from wade/bad game from wade.....TONIGHTS WINNER WINS THE SERIES.
