2004 Bowls YTD: 1-0 (+1.50*)
UCLA(-11') over Wyoming (1.50*)
- - When last on view, an underrated UCLA team off a three week rest stood up to the Super-Men of Troy with a genuine conviction that they could shock the world as the better team that day, and despite some anemic production by their offense, they were nearly up to the task. IMO, Wyoming is outclassed across the board in this matchup. The Bruins ineptitude in last year's Silicon Valley Bowl is the final piece of the puzzle . . . Over the year's, my strongest Bowl angle has been identifying and taking a superior and/or overlooked team with coaches and players plainly aware that the difference between winning and losing their Bowl game is nothing less than the difference between remembering a season of failure or experiencing a season of immense promise.
Wait over for Wyoming (Wyoming Tribune Eagle - 12/23/04)
