i've said it before, and i'll say it again... i love the irony of the byu cougars (aka the fightin' mormons) playing in las vegas. i think i may have seen a couple of the cougs at the tool concert at the palms last friday night. great show by the way.
byu (-6.5) 2 units. sure, the bruins beat the cougs earlier this season, but look at the numbers... the cougs had 8 more first downs and outgained ucla by 199 yards. a pick-6 in the first quarter gave the momentum to ucla, as they ran out to a 20-0 lead. byu got within 20-17 before ucla scored with a minute left to ice the game. in max hall's second start of his career, he was 30 of 52 for 391 yards. what's he gonna do now that he's comfortable against ucla right from the start? harvey unga (just an all-time great name) gained 5.6 yards per carry in that game, and i guarantee he'll get more than 5 carries tonight.
