On the course!
I have never heard about this

100's of people live there.

Wild stuff!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kE7i-7sd3yg

I noticed in that video that the one dude has four packs of Marlboros on his table down there.

How do you feel sorry?

The other couple who have a frigging apartment set up down there make $50 a day picking off slot tickets people leave behind! :mj07:

Doesn't sound like much, but when you have zero bills, $1500 a month is pretty good cash!

I don't think the point of the story was to feel sorry. In fact, they seemed pretty happy with thier lot. I would suspect after the story ran they got booted out. One big monsoon storm and thier all dead down there.

Rainy Night in Las Vegas

Rain in Las Vegas is so rare that when it does come down the wet stuff generally disrupts the city with flooded streets, washed away houses, and driving becomes a really big gamble. So far this year, all 22 days of it, we have received more rain than we did in all of 2009. The 2009 rainfall total for Las Vegas was just 1.59 inches and at 4:45PM today we have received 1.62 inches for 2010. We also set two records today with one for rainfall on this date and another for lowest all-time record sea level pressure (barometric pressure) of 29.03 easily breaking the 1944 record low of 29.37.

The weather service believes conditions will improve for the weekend.

I stand errrrrrrrrr corrected I guess:142smilie I got to see some video of these houses floating away from 1.65 inches of rain in 22 days. Just busting balls bud, its the same around here with snow. An inch falls and people are ready to get the snow plows out.
