With one regular season game remaining, the Blue Raiders certainly still have something to play for.

The outcome of MTSU's game at Florida International Monday will determine if the Blue Raiders play arguably the league's worst team or the tournament host in the first round of the upcoming Sun Belt Tournament.

If MTSU wins at FIU, it will play New Mexico State (West division, No. 6 seed) in the first round Friday at 8 p.m. ? sharing a bracket with Louisiana-Lafayette (second round), Arkansas-Little Rock, South Alabama and FIU.

If MTSU loses to FIU, it will play host North Texas (West, No. 5) Friday at 5:30 p.m. ? sharing a bracket with Denver (second round), Western Kentucky and New Orleans.

There seems to be little differences in the caliber of teams beyond the first round, but the Blue Raiders' opener is at the forefront for now.

All tournament games will be played in Denton, Texas.

An MTSU win Monday would tie the Blue Raiders with Arkansas State in the East standings at 7-7 in conference play. However, the Blue Raiders hold the tiebreaker with a 2-0 record versus the Indians this season.

Both divisional titles were decided by one shot Saturday when UALR's Darius Eason made a buzzer-beating layup to beat ULL 64-63.

UALR surpassed WKU in the East, while ULL's loss gave Denver the outright West title.

The Blue Raiders won at NMSU 65-50 and defeated North Texas at home 79-64 earlier this season.

DEAN RE-INJURES TOE: Middle Tennessee senior guard Mike Dean hit the game-tying jumper with six seconds remaining at the end of regulation, but he re-aggravated a lingering toe injury when he was tripped up going back down the court. Dean was unable to play the overtime period and his status for Monday's regular-season finale at Florida International is uncertain.
