why do idiots trash talk? All I know as a player I thought this and as a coach I tell my players this: when a guy talks hes insecure and all it ever does to a quality competitor is fire him up

not saying this is why fish lost etc, but just fries me guys are this bush and dumb

MIAMI (AP) -- A humble second-year franchise playing at highly touted Miami, the Houston Texans were the biggest underdogs of the NFL's opening weekend.

That made them mad. So did the Dolphins' trash-talking during pregame warmups.

``One of their players said, `I'll see you after today's practice,''' Houston's Jabar Gaffney said. ``That was their thinking -- they were looking at us like this was just a little practice.''

The Dolphins can only wish the game had been just a practice. Kris Brown kicked his fifth field goal, a 35-yarder, with 25 seconds left and the Texans stunned Miami 21-20 Sunday.

``Not many people gave us a chance to win, but we're not shocked,'' Brown said. ``We took it as a slap in the face that we were the largest underdogs the opening weekend.''

i agree with you. the trash talking is completely out of hand. when i played ball, a player would be sitting on his ass if he constantly talked at the opposing team, or celebrated anytime you made a tackle or caught a ball.

jesus, i NEVER trash talked anyone when playing university sports cause that would give them an even BETTER excuse to ram it down our throats during games i played (not football..) or even worse, fawking run up the score on our asses to completely embarass us in front of the girlies....

wtf, that just irks me that a miami player would fawking say that before the game was even started....(if it EVEN happened)?
