Was looking up some stuff on Woll's situation, and it seems clear that he has a personal family matter that should be none of the public's business.
On player's personal matters becoming public, I was just considering that earlier today as I saw an ESPN headline about Broncos QB Bo Nix and his honey-bunny announcing a pregnancy. Seems kind of weird and this superfluous stuff, as a sports fan, always seemed to be just noise in the background. I suppose one could argue that they are public figures, in the entertainment industry, it comes with making the big bucks, etc. Don't know or care what's up with Joseph Woll but all the best to him in tackling X.
I prefer Stolarz and did last year. He was outstanding and has been same so far in 2025-26, through 4 periods. Looking for some Vezina odds and all I can find, presently, is a preseason look from Oct.1, listing Hellebuyck as fave at +325, Shesterkin and Vasilevskiy listed next at +640 and +790 respectively, down to Bobrovsky and Kuemper both at +2250. No Stolarz listed. Must have been 30-to-1 or higher but his early work might have tempered that. Drop word if you see a line for same.
Cayden Primeau, Leafs current backup, does not inspire a lot of confidence. He'll probably get either Monday afternoon home to Red wings or Tuesday night home to Predators.
