Quick Story........

In late 90's my mother ran into him at the Toronto airport. At that time my mom had a real funky haircut. Leslie Nielsen was staring at her. My mom went over to him and said "Exuse me, shouldn't I be staring at you?"

He felt so bad and apologized, my mother quickly interupted him and said she was just messin' with him. They both laughed and he said "you are my kind of women". They both talked for about an hour at the airport. When Leslie got up to go to his flight my mom said "Well, don't ya want my autograph"? He laughed and said sure. My mom signed his boarding pass and he left.

What a great guy.

RIP

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
He was a hell of an actor in his younger days seen many westerns and was good in every movie

I remember how good he was in a 1960 episode of "Route 66" playing a misguided scientist thinking USSR gonna start a nuclear attack on New Year's Day. He forces a bunch of his fellow believers past rangers deep inside Carlsbad Caverns to survive the attack.

He acted just like he did on "Airplane". He always said they told him to mostly act in comedy movies the same way did in dramatic movies.

Thanks StevieD.....I thought it showed what a great guy Leslie was.

So many celebrities are assholes, he was very grounded and never let it get to his head. Can you imagine the
stars today doing what he did with my mom?

And let it be known he was a big star for many many years. As stated above, the dude was in a ton of films and made movie studios a ton of money.

I don't think many realize just how successful Leslie Nielsen was.
