Why? I thought we were there once. Maybe that was just a filmed stunt in the desert. Where is this money comeing from? I know lets steal some more form the S S fund. Then everyone can say dam fund dont work it's going broke. Or let's not give them fools any money till after they all are 70. Ya lets go to the moon. Lets make what we got work first.

I agree that going to the moon again seems idiotic to me.
They are saying we need to establish a base there so we can look out further into the universe.

This is probably the first move by the Bush administration that I have agreed with. However, I don't believe he is pushing for it for scientific reasons. It looks to be an American rallying point to strengthen his ride for reelection in 2004. I never really knew if I was a Democrat or Republican at heart until the Bush administration...now I know that I am definitely a Dem. I plan to get involved more than I ever have in hopes to bounce him from office after one term just like his dad.
It looks like it's going to be tough in TN though...hell, the local NBC channel did not show Saturday NIght Live this week because Al Sharpton was on. They did not want to be obliged to grant equal airtime to the other Democratic candidates by putting him on for 1.5 hours.

Don't think the moon thing will float. Would be a waste of money IMO. Almost as bad as last administration giving North Korea all the free aid so they could use their own funds to build nukes--however the moon thing would have far less consequences.
