I took $10k for this season to MAKE money. I don't have it guys EDIT to think it's not a big deal. This isn't me talking up my plays.

This is me saying one night can screw your whole year on what should be +22.5% in football.

Honestly.

Just one thing I would like to add. I think anything over 2% is pushing it. But that 2% is the risk amount. It's not betting 4% to win 2% on a -200 favorite. Seriously, you need to be that conservative if you really want to win. Otherwise the streaks will just wipe you out.

Woody, I am limiting myself to my 3 best plays of the day. That forces selectivity and limits a horrible day to a loss of 15%.

On the course!
Quite simply, you can't lay that kind of lumber, and win. Certainly, you know this?

-200 games are a death run for most guys over the course of time. Buying points, too. It looks great when Scotlanta hits a few of those when he lays a shit-ton of cash to win a penny, but the losses squeeze the bank.

Good luck to you, if it doesn't make you nuts.

plain and simple... an extremely small % of people are going to make money gambling on sports and a very small % of that small % reside at MJs. The sooner this is realized the better. If it's for entertainment and people have the spare cash go for it. If the money is better spent or needed elsewhere gambling should cease.

Not trying to preach, just my 2c and why i all but stopped wagering on sports.

Hey, I'm just using myself as an example.

#1. Discipline is key.
#2. Money Management is difficult.
#3. I have to learn to stomach the ups and downs.

Excellent points. I am still above my starting bank roll and learned a couple things on the way.

Another important thing is to learn to not have to bet. Take a few weeks and not bet on anything. If you can't make it, you have a problem.

Buying points is one thing that fucking makes me nuts when I see it on here. I haven't made one post about it this year as people just aren't here to learn. There are very few times when you should buy points and yet we have fools who do it every fucking chance they get. I wish I could book their action.

Let's assume no one has a problem and keep it to properly managing your bankroll for the sake of fun.

Excellent point though.

What are some weaknesses that you struggle with from time to time?

I see a lot of hen pecking but not a lot of discussion from experience.

Take the time and tell us. Could really be a huge value.

Thanks TU.

A weakness I have is attacking squares when I make points they should listen to but don't understand because they are squares. I'm working on it for this year though.

Everyone should stop buying points except on/off 3 for 20 cents or less. What really makes me shake my head is when people buy points on totals and in basketball.

Great. Thanks for stopping in TU. This was a great opportunity to share something and you chose to go a different route.

I'll get back to you at basketball season.

Thanks again.
