Im in a pretty big NCAAF confidence pool. I have to pick the straight up winners and assign a point value for them..... You all know the system. 2 years ago, I won the pool but I was really into NCAAF. Last year and this year I have not had the time with work to really watch NCAAF like I used to so I need some help. Please let me know your strongest winners and also let me know if you have any dogs that you feel will win outright. Thanks in advance and happy holidays to all!

These are the games that my research shows as pretty strong plays:

TCU over NIU
Hawaii over ASU
South Florida over ECU
Rutgers over Kansas State
Texas Tech over Minnesota
Texas over Iowa
Clemson over Kentucky
West Virginia over G-Tech
Louisville over WF
LSU over ND
Southern Miss over Ohio

I also like Michigan over USC and OSU over Florida pretty strong.

The rest of the games are pretty tough. I would love some feedback on my above choices and other games as well. Thanks, and good luck.

You picked all the big favorites, that wont happen.............Take Notre Dame straight up, they will win and give Charlie his FIRST big win........

This is what we know, practically a home game for LSU but they are unhappy about not making the trip to the Rose Bowl........Some could debate if Notre Dame should even be in a BCS bowl.........

A team that wanted to play in the rose bowl vs. a team who is a big underdog, who has got beat up by the pac 10 and big 10 top teams, and now faces the top of the SEC......they will bring all they have to the party, Charlie Weiss will be prepared his 2nd time around, can we say the same about Les Miles..........

I dont need any statistical breakdown for these teams, i have an idea of what these teams can do....i'm basing this on the way it sets up..Brady Quinns last game will see him victorious

My take is that Clemson is the strongest SU of all the bowls. Kentucky hasnt stopped anyone this year and their run defense is horrible. Clemson has one of the best 1 - 2 punches in the league in their backfield. Only way clemson doesnt win is if they turn it over multiple times because kentucky wont be able to stop clemson and clemson will be able to stop kentucky.

TCU is another good one as their strength is run d and nill only thing they have going for them is their stud rb wolfe- who has underachieved the second half of this season. In fact Nill was hyped to do something great this year and and have not met those expectations from day 1

LSU over ND is another good one - ND cant stop LSU. Just like ND couldnt stop the bleeding with USC, LSU will move the ball at will and I dont think they have yet to face a mobile qb that has an actually deep ball threat like Jamarcuss Russel. ND has been throwing together crafty blitz packages all year to try to get to the qb to make up for their lack of speed and height at corner. Since Russell is bigger than most of ND Defense I dont think that will be too much a problem for LSU.

All the others I can see scenarios that could potentially pull off upsets

ASU could get into a shootout with hawaii as they have shown glimpses of preseason hype as one of the nations most potent offenses. They have a better faster D than Hawaii as well.

If GT can establish the run game it is lights out for WV. There is not a better wideout in college than CJ and Reggie has the arm to get it to him, its just when you ask Reggie to win the game for you that he chucks it 50yrds every play. GT has a very good defense that is overlooked at this point. This could be an upset if GT gets 100+ yrds on the ground. 150+ and they win the game.

ECU has been a covering machine and a strong team all year and though sofla is coming on strong as of late, they are inconsistent to say the least. definitely not a ML lock as you are looking for.

I am suspect of the speed Ville has up front and more importantly at LB. If they are slow this will be a shootout with WF running its goofy wideout reverses that everyone knows is coming but the occasional deep threat makes the play work more often than not.

Texas let down game and they finished the season terribly. Ohio is a decent team and So Miss has been inconsistent throughout the year. I couldnt believe Ohio was recieving this many points when line came out.

Rutgers are very good this year but are small up front, especially on D. Kstate has a very big OLine and could give their mobile qb long enough to burn rutgers deep either with a toss or a run. Plus rutgers are pretty one dimensional on offense and they better keep it to 3rd and shorts all day because when they have to convert from a distance they look like the rutgers of years past.

TT over Minny I like but it will be a shootout no matter what. Neither one of these D's are keen on stopping anybody and both Offenses have enough play makers and experience to put points on the board. I have a hard time say a team is a ML lock when I expect them to let the other team score more often than not.

GL with your picks

Hope this helped

Sorry for the long post and again it is all JMO and I know I will look like a complete @sshole when the games are played out and dont go anything like I expected, but those are the breaks.

clemson almost looks too good. comin into this yr--i was amped about watchin james davis run all over the place--much to my suprise see cj spiller emerging as an as-good 1-2 punch in the backfiled. i followed clemson all yr. chansi stcuki is a real tough receiver---prob is i dont know anythin about kentucky.

e carolina has been a covering machine---but i think grothe with time to heal the difference maker in that game.

i dont even know who rutgers is playing--but i know i like those three

clemson
south fla
rutgers
