The biggest problem with the Big 12 is the contributing reason their qb stats are so ridiculous:their defensive backs suck real bad.It reminds me of the MAC.If a qb doesn't get sacked if the pass is accurate the dback will jump too early, jump toolate,fall down,have the ball go directly thru waving arms,ANYTHING but make the play.
Why has Texas won 4 straight bowl games then, including a NC vs the highly touted 05 USC team?
Why does Texas have at least 7 DBs in the NFL right now?
If this was the case BIG 12 would get blown out in every single bowl game.

outside the bowl season, the pac-10 was horrible this year vs non-conf opponents.
not sure the sec was the best conf either, but then again, not impressed with the big 12 defenses which leaves the big-10 (terrible) acc (average) and big east (a tier below the rest).
one thing i can say, the mac was over-rated

The SEC has been one of the BEST conferences for the last little while... This year was one of their worst in may years as a conference. Same with the BIG 12.... Looking back, it seemed like the Big 12 divisional games were played to "Pad stats" for the top teams in that division.... The bottom of the Big 12 really went out of their way to get SHELLED on defense and make these top of the divison teams look like SUPER TEAMS... Until the gig was up and they played non conference... Is this more of the possibility that the BCS is a conspiracy and what did the Attorney General say in the lawsuit that may be filed, a shit I forgot.... Anyways, I hope like most of us, that this year may begin the process of getting a month of playoff games instead of a bunch of 6-6 team bowl games.... The gamblers will still gamble and the fans will love it even more... And maybe these 'traditional BCS schools' will have to give up some of that money to schools that earn it by winning and not by entitlement....
Everyone keeps bashing the Big12 for the bowl results but look at it this way and it is a little different:
Big 12 North considered weak went 3-0(Neb,Mizzou,Kansas) in bowls games all be it weak opponents.
OKST the #4/5 Big 12 team lost to #2 Pac10 team Oregon and was in control until Bryant got hurt.
TT #3 Big 12 fell flat vs Ole Miss(who is the only team to beat Florida).
Texas #2 Big12 won even though the struggled it seemed to be a motivation issue(See Alabama).
OU #1 Big12 had chances to beat Florida and did nothing to embarrass themselves.
