Leaving you out of my replies in the last post was most UNintentional. Maybe it was from the blisters I was getting with all the typing and just forgot ya in my rush to exit ... LOL. Saw some of your posts before and really glad you may be interested in the Philly dirt bombs. Telling it like it is - I rarely read the posts cause Philly is the only track I play.

Thanks for letting me know that you're interested in the picks, LHF.

MY POSTS FOR SAT WILL BE IN THIS THREAD, MJers

Prob. the usual time, you know - before the roosters get up on Sat. morning. If they ain't, it's gonna be because I'm afraid the bastages may cancel Sat's card or there's nuthin worth posting which is very unlikely.

Good to seeya GJ

Good to seeya GJ

Let me know how you did on the day you plan on going. I like the fact that you bet the way I do and the plays I make are made for players like that. I usually play exotics and most of the tickets should produce very decent payoffs IF ONE OF THEM WINS, that is.

I focus on only one twack, GJ and put plenty of time into the picks so we should have a shot at something good.

Thanks for keeping the faith... I can't blame a spreadsheet when it comes to hosses.

Still cannot believe how poorly that SS (Stinkin Sheet) did with them bowl games. Only solace is that MANY of those games could have easily gone the other way. I gotta believe that PLENTY of the bettors (esp. those who play too many games) got creamed cause IMO there wasn't any rhyme or reason for the results. Just like basketball - how many of those games get decided in the final minutes of those games?

Yeah bowl season sucked! No big deal to me though. I'm a small peanuts and already got college losses back in NFL playoffs.

I will probably take a buck out to track n see how long I can make it last!!:142smilie

I love playing $1 trifecta boxes & 2 exacta boxes(same race). With a long shot mixed into those 2-3 hosses. That can payoff pretty good at times? Also play $1 exacta box (5-8) every chance I get! What a system! Right?

Thanks again! See ya Saturday!!

Saturday at Philly

Saturday at Philly

Nice to know there is a bit of a FORUM here.

Did my bestest for today and I think these picks are better for small time players, That is, like me - plenty of small bets per playable race, cept maybe for the straight bets though. The main reson why I think today is a good day to play like that is -

1. Seeing quite a few pricey hosses with a chance.
2. Just looks like a day for testing plenty of their old tote board's light bulbs.
3. Got good vibes - which, in reality, means nuthin at all :(

3rd Wace :
There's three genuine Philly dirt bombs that have shown the ability, in the past, to beat this field and each should be $$$ IF I'm right and LUCKY today. BIG problem is that each has shown nothing close to those previous efforts recently AT ALL. With 3 of them in here, I just think one just may remember how to get the job done today.

No. 2, Valentinos Gold - HAD the ability to wire these pretty easily in the past, EXCELLENT connections, great post, and I can't imagine this one going off at such a low M.L. of 7/2 today based on how it ran recently.

No.3, Turn To Travis (12/1). IF this one can close something like 80% like he did MANY times (not that long ago either) he'll blow their steel shoes off in the stretch. Thinking that 20/1 may be more realistic odds for this one cause he does look very much out of form lately.

No.5, Zosogood (10/1). If Valentino doesn't feel his oats early on, this one has a shot to lead or be right up there all the way in this race. This one doesn't come with an anchor either. Lady jockey is a good one and has shown an affinity for Philly lately.

Pretty much what I'm trying to get across is - IF you Philly players like one or two of these, I say, DO IT!

For me, I'm thinking one of the favorites, like no 1 or no. 2 if he gets bet, is good enough to hit the exacta with one of the the others listed above. Say, 1,2 t/b with 3,5,8 zacks. Also, some kind of side bet on no.8 is the side order for this race.

5th Wace :
Hmmm... no. 5, "Do It For Love" at 20 to 1?
I'm thinking, "Do it for THE ODDS". Again, going for more combos and smaller size bets.... 7,8 t/b 1,5,6 zacktas.... AND no. 6 (8 to 1) W/Pl. Shouldn't need to put much on that no. 6 to cover at those odds. But if that's just toooo many bets forya,... DON'T forget that no. 5 hoss :nono: ; do it for the odds , Philly Wacin Fans.

7th Wace :
Yeah, favorites gotta win sometimes :(
No. 8, Mine Own, 5/2. I'll be on this one, top/bot, with the zacta factas... 1,3,5,9.

The 9th race, A MAIDEN AFFAIR :scared , is playable. Right now, I think the plicks are nos. 3 and 4. I gotta see how these maidens L@@K before I bet or post anything for this race.

Good Luck, and do let me know how ya did today IF you did play anything AT PHLLY. If you posted it though; I'll check out your thread if ya posting picks for good ole Philly.

G.L. BTW, I'm not that good a NFLer, but I do think that the REAL Suppa Bowl is the game between Seattle and San Fran on Sunday. Can't make a pick between these two though.

Hmm... not EXACTLY what I was hoping for

Hmm... not EXACTLY what I was hoping for

Let's see....

Well, if ya were LUCKY enough to go with the two bombers (2 and 3) in the 3rd AND playem across the board.. woulda caught some very nice Place/Show prices. But, who the hell is gonna figure that out BEFORE the dang race.... not me. :(

Got some scwatch money back.

OF COURSE, both horses on the left side completed the 3rd zackta.. UGH, and thems are "Magic" nos. No, I didnt' play the magic. For first time visitors ... boxing 2-6 is magic for any distance and 1-2 boxed is "Magic" for distance races. Yeah, the 3rd was a two turner. DON'T JUST PLAY MAGIC NOS. THOUGH... you gotta like both or at least one of them A LOT.

That "Love" bomber (no. 5 in the 5th) showed no Love for me/us but bet was small so no big deal... Btw, I had that one W/Pl/Sh@ 3x.

Magic nos. hit for the 7th for $41.60 ... SON-an-Ma-BEACH!!!

Maybe time for L@@KER in the last race. I'm gonna see if any of yas are online before I post a L@@KER for the finale.

Couple of real player still around..

LOOKERS are 3,4,9 no. 6 is iffy. Playing two of these to WIN, only... highest odds. Thinking no. 9 may hit the board.

G.L.

Mama said they're be days like this... tra la la

Mama said they're be days like this... tra la la

NOT gonna play that song. :nono:

First and second choice complete the zackta ... ALWAYS an arrow to the heart for me...
Phet --------> UGH

TwinTowers does a lousy job with closing odds and when the data SENDER is "good" OLE Philly the matter gets even worser. I showed closing odds on the no. 4 at 4/1 and it was really 2/1 (not so much good value).

Not a disastrous day but there are some obvious scratches on the bankaroo. FAR from giving up the ship though. Only takes one nice Philly BOMBER type day per week to make ya forget about all them losahs IF YOU PLAYEM small. I do believe there is a nice big, fat, juicy LUNKER coming down the Philly conveyor belt. We'll see.
