I want to talk about who is going to cover
road favorite SEC opener -8.5 I don't think its enough to take the home dog, thoughts? maybe buy it down to 7 :shrug:
Alabama struggled offensively in their first game vs Virginia Tech with 3 new starters on the offensive line........On the other hand A&M has been awful stopping the run vs Rice and Sam Houston State allowing almost 6 yards a carry and 33 points per game ...Saban off a loss the previous year and with an extra week to prepare has been good.......
Power rankings have this one at -6 (Sag) and another two I use at -5 and -7 for Bama, generally when the OL is higher than the 3 pwr rankings, the fav generally covers, revenge factor as well as a better "D" in this tilt, Bama took VT because of turnovers and lackluster offensive support, QB for Bama has had this game circled for a year and Saban in revenge factor about 88% win rate the following season, cover rate is only 72%, average margin 11 pts.
A&M with two cupcake games vs Rice & Sammy Hou and both put up points with decent drives. Bama offensively has some explosive players in key areas.
I'm gonna wait until the big boys bang the line around and hope it falls to -6 or less, I have Bama winning by 7!
