I'm backing:
Tampa Bay (-193)
TB/Car UND 5 (-115)
Just can't see them losing. Lightning are now 15-3-2 since the Sydor acquisition. Only one of those games were regulation losses. They're on fire and playing great.
For Carolina, Francis was traded, and O'Neill is listed as out for tonight. I think that dries up an already anemic offense. I think their only shot is for the goalie to steal a game, which is why I like the under.
Note, if anybody decides to back Van or Colo (or another team with multiple new players), you might want to check if the traded players are suiting up. Kovalev didn't play the first night for Montreal, and some of these guys might not clear physicals etc in time to suit up. Not sure what the NHL contract says, but I know Major League baseball players have something like 48 hours before they are mandated to report to new teams.
Good luck, fellas.
