The Tampa Bay Lightning will face the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 2 of their first round playoff series on Friday night. The Lightning are hoping to avenge a Game 1 defeat and head back to Florida with home ice advantage.

Tampa Bay is in the playoffs for the first time in four years. The Lightning haven?t won a playoff series since winning the Stanley Cup in 2004. Right winger Martin St. Louis was second in the NHL in total points at 99, and center Steven Stamkos wasn?t too far behind at 91.

St. Louis and Stamkos, as well as the rest of the Lightning lineup, couldn?t do much of anything against Pittsburgh in Game 1. They were shut out in a 3-0 loss to the Penguins thanks to 32 saves by Pittsburgh goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury.

?Fleury was outstanding, there?s no question about it,? Lightning coach Guy Boucher said. ?I just saw some clips of the replays and I still can?t believe he made some of those saves.?

Pittsburgh is in the playoffs as the No. 4 seed for the third straight year. The Penguins finished in the upper half of the playoff crowd despite not having star Sidney Crosby since Jan. 5. He is participating in morning skates with the club, but his return remains unknown.

?I don?t know how fast (his return) is going to happen,? coach Dan Bylsma said. ?I don?t know if it?s going to happen.?

Alexei Kovalev scored the Penguins? first goal of Game 1. It was his 45th career postseason goal in the third period. The Penguins are 5-0 all-time when he scores a postseason goal.
