Unbelievable atmosphere at Thompson-Boling Arena yesterday. Several young Vol players had to grow up faster than expected, but the best atmosphere for a game - basketball or FOOTBALL - that I have ever experienced at Tennessee.

It was awesome skipper... I was at game with
my son and I cant believe we won that game
with the team we had on the floor...I think
those kids played their asses off and Pearl did
a good job of coaching too... nice win there..

I think we are going to hear the following a whole lot in the next 4 years:

Yeah, he became an overnight legend. I tell you one thing Burns that I was impressed with, is how Bobby Maze continually to Collins one on one. I think for us to have success, Maze is definitely the key. Chism will be the vocal leader, but the last cpl of years down the stretch, we have lacked point guard leadership and he showed yesterday that he wants the ball in his hands to create of the dribble drive.

up last nite... I was so proud of how hard
we played and the crowd helped a little... :00hour
We definantly need Maze to step and start
running this team... did you hear pearl on
the radio show after game... that collins is
awesome but best point guard on the floor
2nite was Maze... i was loving that... I hate
that collins kid but damn he is a baller... cant
hardly stop him but we did enuf... but I'm still
pumped up about that win and we jumped 5
spots in the polls...

The one thing that the fan base needs to understand is that this time is going to lose some bad games as well as shock teams. I think that Pearl's teams have peaked way too early in the season - case in point two years ago with the win at Memphis, we didn't play good the rest of the year. He made reference to that a few weeks ago when they lost to USC.

Will probably be taking Auburn against them on Thursday because I think that is the type of game that the younger guys will not be prepared for. I will be interested to see how Woolridge, Hall, and McBee play after this emotional roller coaster week.
