Anyone here have/know the process of getting a clearence and what type of things they look at? I am in the process of bidding on a decent sized government contract which will allow me to be sponsored for a low level clearance (Secret - isnt that the lowest level?). My question is about having two small open lines of credit - 2 hotels, $2,000 each. I have had them for maybe a year and a half or so and really just opened them so I didnt have to travel with any cash to Vegas. I have never bounced anything there, paid them all off at the table or the markers always cleared my account. So no problems. Anyway, just wondering if people have come accross this before, I figure I cant be the only guy with a clearence in the military or govt who goes to Las Vegas, but wanted to get some thoughts from guys who have clearences.
