if that sept 26th line is accurate for the BC/Wake Forest game. I would jump all over Wake at that number. BC will have a decent D although not as good as last year as the middle of that d line took a huge hit in the draft and good running game but no QB. they lost Crane then their projected starter Davis transferred. Love their coach but they will take a step back this year unless something unforeseen occurs at QB. If not, you will see a lot of running and reliance on thier D. I think Wake has a real good shot at an outright that number is way to high IMO. That being said all I can go on is what I know at this point. Things may change but on paper right now that line looks like a def. play

it's too early for me to look at the lines but just finished looking at both teams because of your post & think i will pass on this game.....

my thoughts....

this is opening game for both teams being played at wash....there is no question that lasu is far superior to wash. in talent...but how motivated will lsu be traveling across country to play a win less team from last season with a conference game next week vs. vandy...

but wash. has a new head coach this year & this will be his very first game as head coach with a qb who missed most of last season because of injury....imo it takes a while before a team grasps a new head coach's system....& i wonder how effective jake will be after missing all of those games last season playing behind a shaky offensive line...

of course i reserve the right to change my mind once i dig deeper into the game..

I have plenty to look over between now and then, but I am pretty sure Washington will be sky high emotionally for this one under a new staff, while LSU, as you pointed out, may be flat off the long trip with SEC opener on deck. Of course, teams off of dissapointing 8-5 seasons should not take anyone lightly, but you never know.

Like you, I'm holding off an making any selections, and a no-play on this one at less than 3 scores seems more than likely.

FWIW, I like the coaching changes at Wash, and expect them to come together some by year's end and going into next season.

I just can't see how LSU wouldn't be fired up for this game. Pac 10 vs SEC. 1st game of the year. I see this game as being a 35-10 game in favor of LSU. I think the Tigers capitalize on Wash's mistakes.
