Calvin Johnson, Glover Quin among 6 Detroit Lions starters questionable for Green Bay
The status of six Detroit Lions starters remains up in the air the day before the team is set to face Green Bay in primetime Thursday night.
The Lions have officially ruled wide receiver Calvin Johnson, safety Glover Quin, defensive tackle Caraun Reid, center Travis Swanson, guard Larry Warford and kicker Matt Prater questionable for the contest.
Prater didn't practice Monday or Tuesday with an illness. The emergency plan would likely see Sam Martin kicking with backup quarterback Dan Orlovsky serving as the holder, in Martin's stead.
Quin has started 95 consecutive games, the longest active streak among safeties. He suffered an ankle injury in the opening quarter on Thanksgiving and was unable to return to the game against the Eagles.
Johnson's ankle has been plaguing him for weeks, and he's been listed as questionable at other points the past month, but he's played every game this season and is coming off a three-touchdown outing.
If Swanson can't go, Detroit has a reliable backup option in veteran Manny Ramirez.
The only player the Lions have ruled out against the Packers is wide receiver Lance Moore, who is also dealing with an ankle injury from the Thanksgiving win over the Eagles.
The Packers are also banged up coming into the game at Ford Field. Three of the team's starting offensive linemen, Bryan Bulaga (ankle), Corey Linsley (ankle) and T.J. Lang (shoulder) are questionable. Bulaga wasn't able to practice this week.
Also questionable is starting cornerback, rookie Damarious Randal.
