Nice list, stomie, but I think you would be remiss without tossing some coin on the Oklahoma State Cowboys @ 20-1. This season's Cowboy team is absolutely, positively loaded with talent and experience at every position. Last year's Final Four appearance has really brought in some unbelievable recruits, too. Both Pettway and Curry should make immediate impacts. The present and future looks as bright as ever for this program.

Check out this link for more info. Looks like CBS Sportsline just recently tagged OSU as their preseason #1.

Biased of course but Texas is a nice play. Best frosh class in the country. They may stumble a bit early but will be very dangerous in March. While I dont think they win it there is nice value there. Could be much like Syracuse 2 years ago. Okie State will be good -but they aren't number 1 good. Kansas will of course be tough.

Not to pick on you Sun but that'll be the day Texas actually wins a championship in anything :142lmao:

There's absolutely no value on the Horns unless you're a Horns' fan

I already posted this future but I'll post it again:

Channing Frye +800 Pac 10 Player of the Year

This is the best value for a couple reasons. First, Arizona is basically a shoe-in to win the Pac this year because the Pac doesn't have a lot of good teams (of course stranger things have happened but it should be the case). Second, Frye actually has some help under the basket so the focus will not only be on him in the paint. He should be the most consistent player on Arizona's team so he will likely be the standout and receive post season awards. GL

I can tell you where there is absolutely NO value is in betting UNC to win the NCAA or ACC. Odds are very very over inflated because they are a team the public loves to bet. Although I do think if they are going to do it this is the year, mccants and felton for sure will be gone this year, as will m williams most likely as well. Roy has stressed defense all off-season, let's see if it works. If this team can show the usual roy tenacity on d this team will be tough to beat.

I think there is good value in the following:

ACC Player of the Year: Rashad McCants +500

Okay, in my mind this race comes down to two horses; McCants and Chris Paul (+350). I still have trouble swallowing the fact that Julius Hodge won it last year while McCants led the ACC in scoring and had the most votes on the all-acc team. In my opinion this bet is going to come down to which team wins the ACC, Carolina or Wake. There are a couple of hesitations I have with this bet. For one thing, McCants is egotistical and a head case that the media is not too fond of. On the other hand, we have Paul, the whole story with his grandfather in high school. The media absolutely loves him. Either way, McCants is going to blow up again this year and the Heels have the team that is going to wind up on top of the ACC. At +500 I think there is great value there.

Any opinions?

Yes, we can't win. We will go 0-32 this year. Oh, wait, we already won once. Make that 1-31.

Thanks for your absolutely nonsensical post with 0 contribution to the thread. I already acknowledge your dislike or Roy, it's not necessary to come into every college bball thread I post in to reiterate it. Come see me in March after we've won the ACC and are rolling in the tourney and remind me.

hmm Remind me which team with less talent sent Roy packing last year? Last I checked the thread was about teams to win it all which is exactly what I discussed. Also, the post is quite sensical - how many titles has Roy won, with how many #1 ranked teams?

No, the thread is entitiled NCAA futures, not NCAA Championship futures. My post that included a possible wager was regarding ACC Player of the Year, not team to win it all. As I expressed above, I think we are not a good play. I'm glad you agree on the over inflation of our line as title winners. You're an idiot two times over.
Not many people get to go on my ignore list, congratulations.

first of all i along with most on these boards are hoping for unc-tx matchup in hawaii. we will all get to see rashad and his new tattoos . glad he gets out of jail long enough to try and hustle steers. secondly, i think its worth a shot at the big ten plus 350 to win the acc-big ten challenge. looking at the scheduling i see a chance for them to win at duke, minny, wisky, clemson, northwestern, nc state and maybe indy. i see value in ga tech plus 500 to win conference[i guess it is reg season and not tourney] and i see lots of value in sheldon williams plus 1300 to win acc player of the year. duke does not have the ffirepower to play games in the 80's and if the first exibition is any sign of coach k's plans, expect duke to pound the ball inside all year to sheldon. supposedly he has worked hard in the off season and he might get the number of touches all year to have a shot of player of the year. duke will not be jacking up 3's all year and there should be good value in playing unders.
