Don't know exactly what this game is called....

we call it "Two in Your Hand"

Each player gets four cards.
Dealer puts down five on the table and turns the 1st three, hold'em style after betting, then the other two one at a time after betting.

Each player has to make the best hand out the the five on the table with their hole cards. They have to use two cards from the four in their hand, no more no less, with three from the table.

A few we play not mentioned:

Low in the hole low Chicago, between the sheets, Night baseball, 7-27 (split the pot game, closest to 7 and 27 wins. aces worth 1 or 11, all face cards worth 1/2), Omaha Hi-lo, and my favorite, Low-in-the-hole, roll your own. We also play guts but with "weenie" rules, that is, if everybody folds, the person who would have won, matches the pot. We also play some good old McIntosh.

We play baseball as well six5, not sure if night baseball is the same. If Queen of spades is flipped up in your hand its rain delay and hand is redealt, also must ante again. Like that rule of who would have won pays the pot, have to try that.

If I have played it d-rock that is not what we call it, sorry never heard of that one.

Pretty good money game 5 draw jacks or better(to open, then anyone can stay) trips to win(must have 3 of kind or higher to win but can bet to try and run people out), if you fold at any point you are out of the game until deal is passed.

4's and 8's guts (4's and 8's wild 4stud)

Another money game which I am sure is a variation or the same as some of you play is 3 card guts with kitty as stated above. We play that if you stay in you get two more cards for a total of 5(the same amount the kitty gets), if you really want to make it fun give the kitty an extra card (6).

Am sure many of us are talking about some of the same games, but different names.

uga, in the "night" baseball we play, 3s and 9s are wild, if u get a 4 u have the option of buying an extra card. Everybody flips 1 card at a time, then bet, and so on. We also play 5 card draw, Jacks or better, trips to win.

Low in the hole roll your own, omaha hi-lo, and 7-27 are all good games because most people will stay building bigger pots.

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Bloody Guts!!! ugly game but fun, gets the lightweights everytime!!!

Another is 10-50, similar to 7-27, only if you get 10 cards or less without going over 50.......that person wins the WHOLE pot. Face cards worth 10...

pick your fate....

its a seven card stud game where before you get cards you spread the deck out and have everyone pick a card. the highest (ace) gets to pick their fate first on down the line k, q, j , ect. once you have everyones order u shuffle up the cards including the ones the people picked (52) and deal two to each player. say there are five people playing, the third cards that would normally go face up to the the players go in the middle of the table. total of 5 up cards. the person who then picked the highest card in the beginning gets to select any of the five up cards in the middle and then each person next in line picks the remaining cards. after that you bet. the fourth cards are also in the middle, but here is the catch, now the person who is low on the table gets to pick frist. so everyone picks again and this is repeated until everyone has six cards and every pick from there on out the low person picks first followed by a round of betting. the seventh card is down, bet and show.

its a fun game

CRAZY FOURS everyone gets four down cards and then an up card then you bet. 4's are always wild and can change suits. the first four that is an up card goes into the middle to be used as a community four for anyone. after that if a four is up just that person gets to use that four as a wild card. u get four down cards and four up cards with a round of betting after every up card.

queen of hearts/ queen of spades

seven card stud game/ possible split pot game

play like reg. seven card stud but at the end before you turn over the cards you say 'does anyone want to kill the hand" if someone has the queen of spades they can kill the hand if they wish and everyone re anties and re deals. the queen of hearts takes half the pot if the hand is not killed....if no one kills the hand and no one has the queen of hearts its the best seven card stud hand...playing best five cards

How do you play Cincinnati?

Cincinnati you are dealt 5 cards in your hand, and 5 community cards, similiar to holdem.
You are making the best 5 card poker hand possible they only difference is the 3rd community card is a split the pot card. If a 7 or lower comes up the low card of that suit in your hand has a lock on half the pot, which 2 is the low lock. And if a 9 or higher comes up it is the high card of that suite being an ace of that suite would be a lock. But if a 8 comes up no split. Each community card is turned one at a time and each card is a mandatory bet, no checking in this game. So it can build a very healthy pot.

This must be just a regional midwest game, like euchre is because sounds like a lot of u never heard of it. But it is played by everyone here, more popular than texas holdem.

tau ceti, on the pick your fate game i have a question. After the fourth card, what order do u go in to pick the fifth and sixth?

The third is highest to lowest, fourth is lowest to highest, then what? Thanks, sounds interesting. I'm going to have to call some of these next time we play.

Learned a game called In Between last night

Basically you take a card and put it on the left and then one on the right. The player then decides if it will be between the two cards or they can pass. If they win in the first round they get to take their ante back ($1 in our game). If they say inbetween and it is not between the two cards then they have to put their ante in again, this continues to build the pot. That goes around the table one time and then, you start back over again and each player can decide how much to bet.

Some of the options to be careful on is if you say inbetween and it matches one of the cards you have to double your ante/bet. If you turn up an ace on the first card the player gets to decide high or low.

At anytime someone can bet the whole pot amount. Ussually something like a K2 shows up. If they win they get the whole pot and game is over, but if they lose they have to match the pot.

A fun game and goes quick

bsu, other names for In between are acey ducie and between the sheets. I've seen guys writing checks and putting paychecks in the middle on that one, as the pot can get HUGE. Another twist is that if your first and second card are the same, say J J, then u turn the one in between, and if it is a J as well, u automatically win the pot.
