What a thriller at Michie today.Army is 2-10 since Ross took over.Got spanked by BC last week 44-7.OL,DL are all young.Defense has trouble tackling.DL avg's 250 pounds.They have Dahman a Qb who looks great at times and then throws the worst interceptions.There will be 4 Db's and 1 WR and he will still throw it.
Jones is Army's only real stud.BC stacked the line and forced Army to pass.Baylor will do the same.
But Baylor on the road is unreal.Last week they beat Smoo to break there 24 game road streak.Also" Baylor lost 40 consecutive games outside of Texas" since 1997 by an avg of 24 pts.But Army is 7-26 at Michie since '97.
But Baylor has more speed.And that is the key.BU has a spread attack,quick pass,3 or 4 Wr's,quick drop step.etc.I see Armys young defense having problems all day trying to stop the BU offense. A four yds quick pass could turn into a 45 yd gain.Plus BU has 2 running backs that are pretty good in Mosley and Whitaker.By spreading Armys defense out I think the cadets will have a problem containing both the passing and running game.
If Army can win today it will be there 2nd home win since 2001.If Baylor can win on the road and outside of Texas that will be a feat.
Glenn Davis "Mr Outside" will be honored today at Michie.He passed away back in March.The cannons will be roaring.The cadet skydivers will deliver the ball right on the 50 yds line.But the Bears speed will prevail and they win this by low double digits.
Tulsa over North Texas
Think Tulsa wins this outright.NT beat Mid Tenn last week 14-7.MT shot itself in the foot all game.At Least 5 times they turned the ball over inside the NT 20.It should of been a blowout.NT is so one dimensional with its running attack.They cannot pass the ball.Meager their frosh qb was 10-15 for 122 yds.Everything was short and to his backs.He got most of those yds on one long jump ball that Quinn went up and out rebounded everyone.Cobbs and Thomas cannot start in the same backfield.Also Thomas had a leg injury..
NT defense although played well vs MT has problems.DL and DB's are all rookies.
Tulsa is coming off a hard fought loss to OU 31-15.They outgained OU and held them to 14 1st downs.Minny beat Tulsa the week before 41-10.
Since NT is so predictable with there run attack I see Tulsa putting 7 or 8 guys on the line and making NT pass. They held OU to 43 yds passing.
If Tulsa gained 344 yds on the OU defense they shouldn't have a problem with a green Mean Green defense.Home field in Denton is not a factor.There will be 12-13,000 today.Tulsa played before 83,000 last week.
NT is favored.Think Golden Hurricanes win outright.
Rutgers over Buffalo
RU after OT loss to Illinois beat up on Nova 38-6.Nova did outgain RU 444 yds to 372 but RU coasted in this game.They had a few more possible scores but blew them.Buffalo is hurting.Can't score,etc
RU always plays down to it's competition.But Schaino is on the hot seat.If he doesn't win this year he's back to Miami.Leonard is a big time back.Hart can throw and against this team will try to put some big numbers up.Tre Moses and co can fly.I think Rutgers gets a nice win here and wins by more then the 3 td's.
Also like Ga. Tech defense to stop UConn and win by a few Td's.
Mich St to keep this game very close.And maybe Notre Dame stumbles.
Tenn,Fresno and Wisky look good.

Georgia over UL Monroe big time. This is a 55-0 game.
Akron over Mid Tenn ..If Akron passed for 360 yds vs Purdue and if anyone saw Mid Tenn play last week...Mid Tenn was the favorite to win the Sun Conf.This team has to have the lowest football IQ players.I'm not saying their stupid students but dumb athletic IQ's. And of all people to be talking about IQ's...mines pretty bad...
