Local Station Airs Incorrect Pilot Names

Local San Francisco news channel KTVU reported the incorrect and mildly-racist names from last weekends airplane crash at SFO.

And in fairness, this isn't me scouring the net for some random crass video, this is/was breaking news from a news station reporting on a plane crash that took place a few days ago. And is a pretty big faux paux/messup for people in this community and victims of the crash.

And yet in a round-about way it's still funny. :facepalm:

Asiana has decided to sue KTVU-TV to "strongly respond to its racially discriminatory report" that disparaged Asians, Asiana spokeswoman Lee Hyomin said. She said the airline will likely file suit in U.S. courts.

She said the report seriously damaged Asiana's reputation


Was the tv station report terrible, yes. However, "seriously damaged Asiana's reputation"? I'm guessing the crash itself did more for their reputation than the tv stations eff up.
