BP, I've watched most of their games thus far and I would agree they looked rough against Arizona. But Arizona has done pretty well thus far and are not without value. I have been impressed with what they've done to date, and love the way they are focused on running the ball and the Ponder/Harvin/Rudolph connections. I think with Simpson more in the mix that will help, and I don't expect Ponder to do as poorly as last week. I am a realist with this team and am not blind to their faults, but I like the way they are playing fairly solid football. The lines have been high on them for a while now, and I've wondered why each week. But they have been holding their own against those lines. I love what Harvin has brought to this season - and how they are using him. He has opened up so much, and is a terror in the return game.
Defensively they are much more solid despite the poor tackling last outing. They were due for a bad game, and they experienced one against the Skins and got it done against the Cards. They are handling games SO much more solidly than before, and that's what impresses me. I disagree about the coaching - I think the coaches are very much in synch with the team and things are clicking well.
Once again I'm afraid of the big number, but I'm believing more in their ability to compete and control the action far more than the past couple of seasons. Home game - fans pumped up - short week - a lot of travel on a short week for Tampa into a cold dark day/night here - not a momentum builder mental spot for the Bucs, I don't think. Vikes should be pretty up for this game, all things considered - win tonight and have the extra time off after? I think they come out strong here - not so excited about later.
And does everyone really believe the Bucs and Freeman are going to continue going off in the passing game like they have been? I dunno - maybe.
I think I'll lay the points - but not for too much. I just like this spot for the team.
