a employee whom was drunk and decided to break out his guitar and amp and serenade the Atmore community with his version of Purple Haze at four in the morning.

I wanna party with that dude. And I have to say, if anybody tried to mess with my stop sign paddle, I'd mess that dude up, too...

Theres light at the end of the tunnel, as we are now only about 11 weeks out from wrapping up the project. The Atmore leg is complete, the Mobile-Citronelle leg is 90% done, the Crestview, Florida leg is 75% completed and I will be sending a crew to begin the Chipley, Florida leg on the13th of this month. Some of the lowlights of the project:

1. Had an employee that was crushed to death by a 42 inch pipe. Saw it happen right in front of m eyes, I think I may need some counciling when this is over, as I cannot get it out of my mind.

2. Last week broke my personal record for hours worked in a week when I came in at 110 hours for last week.

3. The heat today (the real feel) topped out at 119 degrees and had 9 people go down with heat related illnesses with three of them being taken to the hospital. Thus three recordable injuries for OSHA, gotta love them.

4. Had two people file Workmans Comp last week for their ears when a moron riding in the laborers bus set off a M-80 in the crowded bus for shits and giggles.

5. Had two people in the last month both chain saw hands taken to the hospital for snake bites. One got bit by a Cotton Mouth in the Escambia River and the other got bit by a Eastern Diamondback when they decided to take a shit in the woods.

So in summary since 4/1

Had a stabbing
Had a fatality
four snake bites
Seventeen visits to the ER
Twenty One Recordable injuries
Numerous citations from the EPA and FERC

Needless to say, in dealing with all of these morons, my consumption of alcohol has soared to new heights. My new drink of choice is Grey Goose with Limeade with a few Guinesses sprinkled in. Well football season is right around the corner, so at least I will have something to ease the stress.

I had a guy get his leg cut off in a forklift accident, and that messed me up for awhile....I can only imagine what impact this had on you. I think you should seriously think about talking to someone.

have been spent here in Atmore, Alabama. I have been here since the start of April and outside of the casino (slots only) there is nothing to do here. I spend my day walking through forests with snakes (eastern diamondbacks, coral, copperheads and cottonmouths) everywhere, alligators, black widows and some type of monsterous pig that runs loose throughout the area. I work from five in the morning until seven at night, six days a week in 95 degree heat, as I swear I am working in the Congo. I am managing 180 employees, some are skilled such as CAT Operators, Excavators, and some are non-skilled laborers whom are employed as Flaggers, Oilers or Swampers. Managing these employees has become a 24 hour a day job, as I have been called by the police the last two saturday nights, the first one involved three drunken employees chasing each other at 2 in the morning with chain saws, and the second involved a employee whom was drunk and decided to break out his guitar and amp and serenade the Atmore community with his version of Purple Haze at four in the morning. There is one bar here in Atmore, the "Grey Goose" and I have cleaned out there supply of Jamesons and Guiness, as my lifeline to sanity. The question now becomes, will I be able to last until late September and not have a mental breakdown. I think the odds are 2/1 that I have a complete mental meltdown before. :00hour

MC: This is exactly how I felt at the golf outing.

That stuff goes away.

Results of heavy drinking on the other hand.......

Our place is in the Beach Club, which is about a mile down the road from Peninsula Golf Club

The beach is nice, there are two good golf courses and a good number of quality eateries in the Gulf Shores, Orange and Perdido area.

I am not sure about the nightlife, as I generally take it easy in the evenings while there since I am normally with my wife and 2 toddlers......

We have stayed at the Beach Club for the past 8 Years. Truely a nice spot for a vacation.
