TLN is not what stopped Texas from going to PAC 10. Simply isn't true. TLN was an issue but the move was all but sealed until State of Texas politics came into play - that's all it was.
Fact is that neither of you guys really know what happened or will happen. You can guess like the rest of us. Unless you are a member of one of the school's board you can act like you are in the know, but you are really just a fan like everyone else.
So you know, both guys have displayed more internal knowledge of their respective programs than most others around here.
atm to the sec is definitely not a done deal. lots of rumors at this point. give us OU and let those yell leaders go somewhere else
A&M will be the laughing stock of college football.
Will be?? Hell, they've been the laughing stock of CFB for years! :mj07:
The fact that no one outside of the KCStar is reporting it fuels my suspicion. What is odd about that story is that they state the 'SEC has offerred but is willing to wait for the Big 12 to fold first'. Yeah, that sounds about right what a power conference would do in these situations. Extend an invitation and just wait around. As shown by the A&M proceedings, the SEC is calculated in their moves and wouldn't do that.
Beebe is as inept of a commish as you can find. That is a good move by OU. TCU appears hesitant on their jump to the Big East now with it crumbling. Big 12 could pick them up for stability of # of teams, but it won't grow their markets, though that may be an after-thought at this point. Next step for the Big 12 would be to act on taking up other Big East teams such as Cincy and Ville.
