An email from my sister-n-law....

Hello everyone,

On March 2nd I sent out an e-mail letting you know that I will
be participating in the "2004 Two-day Avon Breast Cancer Walk" on
June 5th & 6th. At that time, I needed to raise $1,800.00 in donations
to participate in the walk. When I sent out the first message I
really didn't know what support, if any, that I would receive.
When I checked my donation progress a couple of days later, I had
a total of $225.00 in donations. I was so excited that I called
my husband to let him know! I was very touched by the supportive
e-mails that I received thanking me for doing the walk.

As of today, I have raised $690.00 and only need $1,110.00
to reach my goal. I understand that not everyone is comfortable
donating online, so I have attached a form that will allow you donate
via check or credit card. If you would like to make a donation,
please print out form, complete and return to me. I will mail the
form and your donation in an assigned envelope provided by the Avon
Breast Cancer Walk. If you would like to donate online, please log on to:

What is this "I have to raise $1800 to participate in the walk"???

Shouldn't anyone who wants to get this involved in a fund raiser be allowed to participate with the rest?

The more the merrier I would think. The more support. I don't get it?

Maybe she raises $1500 and then they say you can't??
