As some of you know, I own a bar in Wisconsin. I am going to be re-naming it soon and am looking for ideas on what to name it. It is basically a Sports Bar that also has a dance floor with a DJ at night. It is located right next to a college with 7000 students. I am looking for a good catchy name, preferably one that fits the Sports Bar theme. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. :drinky: Also, if I end up using someone's idea, I would be happy to send that person a t-shirt and cap with the new name and logo when they become available.

Quite simply:

" The Big Dance " captures what you feature with a strong sports connotation.

The earlier crowd is the after work locals, in the 30 - 60 year old range, mostly big Green Bay Packers fans. They usually are gone by 9:00pm. Students don't come out until after 10:00pm, but then it is 90% a college-age crowd.

Liquor Box
I have always liked the name "Beaver Liquor" for a liquor store.

The college is the University of Wisconsin - Stout, a Division III school.

That's really funny. When in Tampa w/some friends a couple years ago met some girls from there, didn't even believe the place existed until I confirmed it when I got back.... :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

If it's the only place around, then how about simply The Blue Devil.

Catchy....

Catchy....

Since I know the campus well, how about:

"Sweet Sixteens"

Sports tie in off of Sweet Sixteen
Also change up the glasses and offer 16oz drafts, known as "Sweet Sixteens".

"Sports Jam"

Hints of music and dance.

"The Event"

"Spectators"

"The Playing Field"

"The Field House"

That would have great recognition on campus, especially since it is part of the campus vernacular already.

"Wire to Wire"

"Mingles"

"Devil's Hangout"

Actually there are about 15 bars within a 4-5 block area, but we are the only one with a sports theme. I also should mention that the school recently built a big new football stadium with extra practice fields and a big new training facility, and even though they won't admit it, I believe they are trying to attract an NFL team here for training camp, which would bring a lot of people to this small town. We already have the Chiefs training just up the road at UW - River Falls, and the facilities here are much better. Got to figure out a way to attract those out of town customers to my place.
