I have a quick question...There are a lot of good cappers on this site...I have piggybacked a few of them. People get hot on this site and everyone deems them "a great capper". Here is the question. If we fellow Madjacker's have deemed someone a good capper, how many losses in a row does it take before we fade them?
I am not calling anyone out because I have taken my share of losses too this year..but I have always wondered how many losses it takes for a good capper (NOT self proclaimed, but proclaimed by MJers) to become shiiite?

I do agree with you on the fact that if you lose...post your losses as well. No Bullshiiite. :nono:

Good Luck to Everyone tonight.....I still don't know who to take.
Definetly a last minute decision.

Are you calling Worm out?

Are you calling Worm out?

If you are calling worm out then call him out. His picks stink because he gives no rhyme or reason as to why he picks them. He says I am just here to help. Then help us understand how you come up with your 15 units smasharooney games.

Clown clown clown.

From now on I will follow gman. He makes logical sound decesions in his capping and I am willing to bet he is up on his man this year.

Anyone think worm hasn't been back because maybe his man is looking for him to collect from all of the 15 unit smashers!!!!!

I am still holding my ticket from earlier this season when the work GUARANTEED me to hit 75% on his Major plays this season.

On the course!
worm is "regressing to the mean". It is a phenomenon that will occure with almost everyone who handicaps, because most of us really can't do this. It is also part of the reason that "touts" go south after turning pay. They have had a ton of success over a period of time, and decide to go pay right as the worm turns. (Bad pun, but hey......) I think the guys who suck at this for their first two years should go pay! They are about to turn the corner! ;)

You will have the few who beat the "mean" over a long period, and those who will fall short all of their life.

Rocks is another prime example of the kind of guy who will mete out this principle. edludes fits the mold to a spot on match. There are several more out there, but what's wrong with being average?

Keep pluggin' guys!

you know worm is a decent capper...but i kinda agree if you post a huge play and lose but dont come back into the thread after u lose its lame. its not like the guy plays small units i bet a lot of people lose their ass cause he hits 1 or 2 big ones and then loses 3 or 4. just my 2 cents.

Here's the trouble with that HR, I honestly try to go back and say I was wrong when I miss a play, check the threads in the NFL forum from 2 weeks ago where I said Pittsburgh would beat Cincy, I was wrong, went back and said so and got shots taken at me (at least one I remember), not that it bothers me because it's usually from someone who hasen't been here long and probably won't be here long, but nontheless that's what happens. I think it's nice to go back and congratulate someone if they post a winner, especially if you piggy back it because of them, but to take shots at someone who just lost a play (and cash) is pretty bush IMO.

Does anyone cap their own games anymore?

These pissing contests are distracting many from what the outcome of all their energies should be. Collecting;)

The statements of 'lock' and 'guarantee' that worm throws around and promises of 75% winners and past tales of 6-month boat rides around the Bahamas because he "unloaded" on a game that was "ez money" is what brings the forum down.

Making this endeavor seem easy does a disservice to those who are newer at this hobby and makes it seem as if there is some secret answer out there if you could just be more like the big shots. This type of disregard for money management loses people money and is the type of betting that worm preaches.

It's not so much that those bashing him enjoy the fact that he's taking it on the chin (I am assuming that's just me), it's the fact that actually seeing someone who is a good capper now down for the year shows the ill-informed that that's not the way to win this game and reminds the more experienced of what it takes to cash from the book at the end of the year. And his losses should save people money

the worm has had his share of winners this year. the problem lies in the fact that he plays units on his plays and uses % for his records. for example he plays 10 and sometimes 15 unit plays then he says hes winning at 60%, when he should be recording units. I have mentioned this to him but he failed to reply. he really lost all creditblity when he came in at the begining of the football season saying that he would win 75% of his games
