never said carpenter wasn't good...never saw him pitch before...obviously by his stats he is awesome...i stand by my statement however that i think the braves will be tougher in the playoffs...just an opinion...cards do have injuries but so has everone..look forward to an exciting playoffs either way

soul...based on the past I'd probably have to agree with you...if they can get thompson and hampton back they could solve their closer problem...anyone know thompson's status? i dont follow the braves that close..

Unlike past years, they now have 2 power pitchers in Hudson and Smoltz to win 7 games series that they would have lost in the past, they also have a much better hitting team than in the past.......if Chipper Jones comes back from his injury they will be a very tough out in the playoffs no matter who they play.

if maddux,glavine and smoltz cant do it nobody can.
they have no bullpen,they are a easy out,1st round,thats if the marlins dont catch them.

i am just saying 14 straight division titles and only 1 world series
actually ,i was replying to the other guy,the lurker maverick
i am just going by the track record,and i dont think they can get by the cards.
he made the statement with hudson and smoltz they should go far in the playoffs.
