I am taking Sea tonight...with the exception of one game the Sea. bats have been quiet and I really believe with their backs against the wall they will come out flying high and go bk home for 2. GL to all

If you put a 'gun to my head' and said play this game, the play would be Seattle plus the nice price. They hit Pettitte earlier in the year and with their backs to the wall, the Fishermen can be as hard to put away as the Yanks. Don't really like backing Sele much though and if Sea wins I can see it being a high scoring affair (7-4). Don't want to play the over though and don't want to play the under either. Think I just want to sit back and root for Yanks to win as a fan....but then again now that I have almost talked myself into it, perhaps a 1/3* play on Seattle may be called for......

good luck 'contrarians'

I too am leaning that way, I just don't know about SELE and his ability to get anyone out right now. He's been terrible lately and that has to give the YANKS some extra confidence, not that they NEED it. With PETTITE on the mound at home, it may be asking too much for SEA to get to him. Got some more looking to do, but we'll see. Didn't like hearing JETER talk about how they are treating each game like GAME 7 so they don't have to head back west. He was UNREAL last year in ALCS I believe, and so far has done nothing offensively... tonite he may just break out.

I feel the under is a solid play---Why?? The obvious--Great bullpens---Defense--Nerves---and if anyone has been watching---BOth teams have not been aggressive at the plate--they have been taking a lot of pitches trying to reach base--I believe they do this because they know in the back of their minds--how good these bullpens are and are trying to get runs anyway they can---they did not approach games like this in the regular season---Both teams felt they were better than their opponents and would be looking to hit in those 2-0---3-1 counts... Sure it is a short porch in right but if your home-run hitters are looking to walk--then how do they hit home-runs--Pitchers are not challenging hitters when ahead and batters know this!!! Good pitching beats good hitting!! Do i have to say it again???

i think that if the M's are the play, ya might as well parlay it with the over.....they need to hit Pettite to win and Sele has been trash as of late....

contrarian to that though, Pinella will have a quick hook on Sele I would think and go with Pineiro who has been dominate as of late and the under could score here....

who knows....i am gonna just sit and watch tonight i think......

Maybe if they had Moyer or Garcia going...no faith in Sele.

Throw my name on the list of players takin the M's. I think they have the character to pull this out and at least bring it back to Seattle. As far as a total I could see this thing either way so I'm not touching it.

Takin the M's @ +145
GL all M's backers tonight!

some valid points backing Seattle. I would be on Seattle tonight with their backs against Wall. But simply can not backing Sele, and if he struggles early Abbott was used last night. I have seen Sele melt under pressure to many times previously, personally I can't believe Lou is going with Sele, its no hidden fact that he is not a big pressure type guy

I have written before on the Mariners road prowess this year (only losing 1 series on road---last week of season---). Lou said they will go back to Seattle for game 6 and I think they do it.
I have a series bet on Seattle (gulp) and although I don't think they will win the series now, I do think they have a better than average shot at a win tonight.

Yankees bettors should be grinning large right now knowing Dr Feel-like-shit-can't pick a game--is on the Mariners tonight.

--good luck guys

The Yanks -- with an opportunity to put a series away in the post-season -- are absolute money in the bank!!! Pretty gutsy, in my opinion, to take Seattle in this contest, especially with Sele on the mound. I can easily see the NY bats waking up and them scoring 6 or 7 runs here. As an M fan, I definately wish you the best of luck. Would be very nice to at least see a 6th game in this series.
