state is one of those remarkable teams that is night and day different at home and on the road. i'm ashamed to say i've actually been fading the wolfpack in the second half of their last three road games. it's like stealing - you can rest assured they will have about a six to ten minute scoring drought in the first 12 minutes or so of the second half. i'm really disappointed that sendek doesn't seem to be able to coach them out of this shortcoming.
hodge is a great athletic talent, but he simply doesn't need to be used out front with the ball in his hands. he forces too much and transforms into a turnover machine. he does seem to be able to stay within his game a little better at home, and the wolfpack as a team seem to do a better job maintaining some kind of presence on the boards.
all that said, i probably won't bet either one of these games. the lines look about right, but if you made me pick i'd play both home teams. the acc, like the sec, big ten, and a few other conferences, has been a conference to play the single digit home favorite absent some special situation.
