Vegas opened -10 Clemson, steamed to -12 1/2.

N C State got chewed up by Clemson "D" and big let down by State after hard fought loss at home to Fla St. Young QB for Clemson looked like he was starting his 10th game.

L'ville's ACC record vs ACC is impecable, only loss to Virginia!!

I was wondering if Clemson's new QB made a difference in them WB; the line seems to suggest that? The Cards have a strong D themselves tho.

Cruncher - QB took apart NCS easy, defense was shutdown. L'ville if Gardner is back may give Clemson fits, key will be UL running game. Clemson is not an easy place to play, just ask Georgia. But 13 pts now is what Clemson is favored by, this is early movement, way too early, so big hitters on Clemson most likely.

Sorry to hound in your thread, Bisket!! GL with this game.

I was looking at it, Clemson favored by 6 1/2 to 8 pts, opening at 10 was an eye opener for me.

I like your guts on this one so far and know UL is better than a DD dog.

I kind of jumped in here to WB, but didn't think Bisket would care. I was interested in this thread for 2 reasons mainly. Number one Louisville looked attractive to me also but I was on the wrong side of that beat down Clemson put on what I thought was a pretty good N C State offensive football team, and they may still be; so that was holding me back. When Strong was at Louisville, and it could still be the case, you could just about count on Louisville to cover as a dog; its like they had an attitude or something. When they were favored big however, they could/would play down to their level of completion, so they were a pretty easy read under Strong, and that may still be the case. Louisville's ranked 1st in total defense but just 105 in total offense while Clemson is ranked 49th in total offense and 31st in total defense; but Clemson has played the more difficult schedule. It just doesn't appear Louisville has near the offensive they had last year but are still stingy on defense. I'm leaning Louisville, but finding it hard to go against Clemson I guess is what I'm saying. Numbers aside I'm sure Bisket has a better read on the pulse of Louisville; I haven't had time to get a feel for them under Petrino; I guess I'm probably laying off; scared of either team.

Sorry I'm late to the party you still like it at 9.5?

8 and 9 are dead numbers so you can wait and see if it gets to 10 or more again

this game I would say 10.5 or more is an "amazing bet"

7.5-10 is a "great" bet

7 is a good bet

Bisket, I'm trying to make out your logic on your quotes here, 8 & 9 are dead numbers, but 10 1/2 is an amazing bet, 7 1/2 to 10 is a great bet and 7 is a good bet? Can you please clarify?

I already played this at +11 1/2 when it came out, I could have waited to get a higher number which it went to briefly, but now it's dropping like shit from a manuer truck.

just speaking from a strict "value" standpoint there. There's no reason for him to bet 9.5, when there is very little downside were it to drop to 8 or 9. They are dead numbers.
