Well, I'm like a kid on a Christmas Eve....and I'm not leaving until Thursday morning.

I'm meeting a buddy near Dayton on Thursday, and we're heading to Louisville Thursday night to stay with a buddy of his. We've got seats for Oaks Day and will spend Derby day in the paddock watching it on the big screen with the rest of the drunks.....

I've only been to the Derby in '06, and can't wait to get back. We go for some comraderie, handicapping, Budweisers, mint juleps, handicapping, Budweiser, mint juleps, Budweiser, Budweiser, mint juleps, Budweiser.......

I'm curious to see how the post position plays out, but I'm hoping to see a little bit of value on Big Brown.

Yep, I'm wound up tighter than a ten cent wristwatch....

:00hour

Went in '04 and '05 with a large group of guys--they rent a couple of motor homes, fill them up with beer and gas and make the 8 hour drive to Louisville; same deal--leave Thursday and spend all day Friday and Saturday at the track. One guy has a buddy that lives about 45 minutes from the track and they park the motor homes there and catch a cab to within walking distance of Churchill(it is a total clusterphuk around the track those two days)-- had a blast the two times I went and want to go back...:D

Have a great time, wish I could get back to my hometown, maybe next year, Casesar's riverboat is right across the river in Indiana, but I am sure you already knew that...Good Luck!

Thanks Guys, can't wait to get on the road. :00hour

Dan - I'm about 140 miles north of Detroit, and then I've got about another 360 miles from there to Louisville, so about 500 miles. It all depends what the border is like, but I'm about 8.5 hours to get there.....And even worse - 8.5 hours to get home on Sunday....:nooo:
