Does anyone see the LSU (-5.5) @ New Orleans a little low?
**Common Opp. So Miss = NO lost and LSU won by 15.

Only Reason I can see is the Tigers might be looking ahead to Saturdays match up with #22 Miss St.

I'm leaning Tigers but just seems too good, any thought?

I already pounded LSU @ -5 for my biggest play of the day.

I don't see any mention of injuries anywhere on the web and they're essentially playing a home game in NO. It very well could be a look ahead game but they should still dust off NO by atleast 12.

Agreed

I am sure there will be a lot of Purple in that crowd tonight.

Side note** it has to be a little disturbing for NO knowing they just went on a four game road trip, come home to play LSU and then are back out the door for two more.

No injuries for LSU although D Mitchell is still experiencing a little back stiffness from the faceplant which he took 2 games ago. He scored a career high 19 vs Bama, so the stiffness should not be a problem, although he might play less minutes than normal.

UNO should not be able to rebound with Bass and Lloreda.
Tigers closed out Bama with good outside shooting down the stretch, but their free throw woes continue as they missed 5 of 10 in the final 2 minutes. Of course, laying points with a poor free throw shooting team is a recipe for disaster

Nontheless, I am also on LSU for max units tonight and will be rooting them on from Section D row 11.

Like the play - think that since NO is also a local team their is some pride to beat them up - big school doesn't want to lose to small schools when they share the same locale. Could hurt recruiting. Also don't know if it's a huge look ahead when you have 5 days between games.

late night

late night

Waiting to see the results of the LSU game but leaning on BYU (-2.5)
After Reading an Andy Katz piece. If they are half as good as he made them out to be then they will stomp SDSt!
The question is can they rebound from the beating NC st gave them?
Any thoughts?

these are always dangerous games for the power conference teams. nothing to be gained by winning, and the game always means a ton more to the in-state "little brother". dont have a lean on this particular game but i have made good money playing the inspired underdog in this kind of spot (this one reminds me of the northern iowa/iowa game. same kind of line and consensus)

I see what you're saying gman but I've seen both of these teams play and LSU is the more quick and athletic team who should dominate the paint tonight.

I was at the Texas - UNO game. We had about 6,000 fans on hand (who were told to move down to the empty mezzanine seats by the PA announcer), we played terrible peremiter D, shot bad from the outside, missed 10 free throws (61%) and were still able to win by 34.

One thing we were able to do right was pound it inside against UNO. We had 56 boards, 11 blocks and 11 steals. I think LSU can exploit that weakness with Lloreda and Bass against UNO's weak frontline.

Keep an eye on UNO's #44 player, he's a dirty fuhker. Kept throwing bows and trying to toss our players around but eventually fouled out. :thefinger

i totally see where youre comin from. i definitely dont have any reasons to play new orleans. was more or less just commenting on how this can be a potentially dangerous spot for a power conference team. but sometimes, the power team is just much superior regardless of any in-state rivalry.

good insight Gman

NO turns the ball over more than LSU (16 to 13) and LSU averages about 4 more steals a game (7.9 to 6.7). LSU's stats coming against better (IMO) teams. NO best scorers are at the guard position, so my hope is tight defense by LSU will force poor guard play and I'll cash this.

But all in all thats why they play the game.
GL on your plays

amazing, LSU looks like they are about to go up big only to let UNO go on an 11-0 run.

are any of you guys in La watching this game? Lloreda has 3 fouls already. That worries me for the 2nd half. Looks like Bass will have to carry a bigger load now.
