ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I'VE BEEN LUCKY NOT TO BE FAWKED OVER BY RELIEVERS THE LAST THREE SEASONS...............BUT IT HURTS EVERY NOW AND THEN WHEN SHIT LIKE THIS HAPPENS>>??????

BUT FOR YOUR TEAM TO CRAWL BACK AND TAKE THE LEAD IN THE BOOTOM OF THE EIGHTH AND THEN YOU FAWKING BLOW IT WITH A THREE RUN HOMER IS IN EXCUSABLE????!!!!!!!

      :gf: :firing: :firing: :firing:

ONE LAST THOUGHT IN REGARDS TO THESE FAWKING CLOSERS:

I THINK IN THIS DAY AND AGE WITH MONEY AND GREED, AND THE GAME OF BASEBALL HAVING CHANGED, IT'S TIME FOR SOME OF THESE TEAMS TO DO A CLOSER BY COMMITTEE.....

it's seems to have worked for the BLUE JAYS as Escobar was converted from star crap reliever to not too shabby starter.

It's time to stop paying a shitload of money for closers and then whine when they can't seal the deal.....and then say, well, we can't sit him, we're playing him millions to pitch.....i'm sure they can fine ONE middle reliever who'll get the closer job done for a fraction of the cost.

call me selfish, but yes, fawk these closing pitchers that cost me money.

Guys a word to the wise, Stop playing under's in the current pitching drought.

When my 84 yr old uncle ( who pitched in the minors late 30's & 40's before the war ) asks his 86 year old brother(my Dad),

What do you think I could make pitching in the majors today ?

And his reply is " You could name your price!"

I took notice on how bad the current pitching talent really is.

Now Spock IF Trevor was healthy I would say you had a great shot at holding your under, but with Beck it is anybody's guess!

Geno:

Seriously praying that Beck can get the third out without a run being scored.

I usually play Unders in most sports. In Hockey especially never played an Over. Nothing to happen is better than expecting something to happen

In Baseball .. looks like something to happen is the default ..
and nothing to happen needs a lot of hard work .. other way round

Got it and I got the dog in. Too bad for TV but tomorrow is another day.

I no longer play skates, but in MLB until this thing changes I am on the overs, not saying I cap all of them to be over the total I only play the overs and drop the games that cap out to the under.

Manager goof-ups, errors, poor starters, even worse relievers, never knowing which reliever you are gonna get (the Forest Gump chocolate box steer pen), fan interference, wild pitches, passed balls, intentional walks, cracker box ball parks, etc.

Too much can and does go wrong IMHO.

That happened 3 years ago.....and still to this day I will never forget it

Geno .. you are right on the money.

Too many different factors conspire against the under ..

only factor against the over is the DP .. .

Cheers and nice call on the Dog ..
Sorry Chris

Spock look at it this way, by playing an under you are expecting something to happen, you are expecting your starting pitching to go deep into the game and then you are expecting your bullpen to be a bullpen when there are a lot of steers out there.

And when one or the other doesn't happen what does happen ain't pretty, it becomes a Mazda TV ad:

ZOOM, ZOOM, ZOOM, over it goes.

Yep I am a broken record but I have seen it way too many times, plus there are a lot of games in a season, what if a pitcher decides to mail one in and you got a ton on the under?

Glad you got the winner :)

Geno

now that ya put it that way .. I am not making an overnight bet on the game betn Boston/CWS on the Under 9 ..

Burkett and Colon pitching .. numbers say Under but Eric Cooper the HP Ump tomorrow is a solid Over Ump ..

leaving this one pending till tomorrow .. line may change but thats fine.

Never bet when ur not fully sure of the play.

Thanx bud
