There was a time when the Broncos were dominant on their home field.
However, it is their opponents' backers that have come out on top in
recent times. Kansas City is a more complete team when compared
to the last two years' squads and the defense is deserving of some
respect. Mike Shanahan likes to establish the run, but his top two
running backs are nursing lingering injuries, so durability will be
a question mark. Things are bad enough that Shanahan asked
Quentin Griffin--who was cut at the end of training camp-- to return
for this game. Look for the Chiefs to get revenge on Griffin for running
all over them in the opening game of 2004 at Mile High.
