MAAC conference starts tonite
Monmouth -6 over Quinn **
Quinns best player Daniels is not playing...he took a leave...big loss for Quinn...he avgs 13 pts and 4 bds a game..last 4 games he has 12,12,12, and 24 pts...they already lost Kiss from last yr who transferred.. Quin is not a high scoring team.FG% is terrible,poor rebounding team...Hawks have dominated the past yrs but they had Robinson at the pt..he is gone..but they have 1st team All MAAC Seaborn who can score and rebound..they just beat Yale away by 19..they have played some tough teams like Vir,Seton Hall...they lost to UConn by 4 in OT...Hammond has played well avg 11 pts..Thighman was POY 6th man last yr...they do have some height but Tillman,Traore,and Quinn are avg...Quinn has no front court...think Hawks get a rd win tonite
Fairfield -1.5 over Peter **
Peter lost to much from last yr...they don't have the offense to stay with the Stags...Peter ranks 321 on off. avg 66 pts a game.FG% is bad,3 pt % is bad...they win with their defense...they are a bad rebounding team...Griffin has stepped up scoring..Stags are led by Nelson pre-season POY...but Nelson the past few yrs has been stopped by Peter...he has shot 1-6,0-4 1-4 from the 3...stags have 6'9 Miln and 6'8 Kasib on front line...Flavord is new and avgs 11 pts a game..Peter just beat St Fran of NY in OT...Stags have played some tough teams in Houston,Purdue,...think the home court will help Fairfield...but Peter will play them close thru out...Stags win by a couple..like the line when it came out..think it has moved somewhat...and maybe Nelson figures a way to score against them..

North Texas +2 over UTEP **
North Texas cannot win on the road...but new coach that makes them pass the ball.Woolridge and Lawson are decent gds..but juco Smart is avg 17 pts a game..problem is there 3 gds cannot shoot FT's.they shoot 59 and 64%...that is pretty bad for gds that drive to the hoop...but they beat Ind St,and San D lost to UTA by 5,OU by 10..so there in there..UTEP has a 7'1 Wilms and 2 solid gds...they did beat Wash St and New Mex ..although NT is 1-5 on the road think they can give the Miners a game...think the Mean Green have a shot in this game...I'm going to see them sat nite vs UTSA...
