Fairfield -1.5 over Loy Md *****
Stags lost last yr in the finals...haven't won since 1997....they were the hottest team going into the tourney...1st half of the season they played so bad...but like I said many times.".they have awoken"....didn't think they could beat Iona and esp w/o Needham who has broken foot...but they killed Iona on the bds.....they have the big stud in Sanders...Olander is 7'0,Barrow is a 6'5 power fd...Wade has come in and although didn't hit many 3's he can...these guys split...Loy md has surprised everyone...Etherly and Walker have size. Cormier,Drummond and Olsen can score...they beat a tired Siena team yesterday....held OD to 5 bds...Loy beat Stags by 3 way back in Jan but 2 weeks ago Stgas won 68-51 at Loy...Like Fairfield tonite....even without their best gd think they have the big stud in Sanders who will carry them to the big dance...
North Texas -1.5 over Ark St ****
North Texas has the best player in the conf in Mitchell..despite being held to 5 pts the other nite he rebounded,blocked 6 shots,etc....tonite he goes off and leads the mean green to the finals...he makes everyone better around him...unselfish....everyone knows if NT loses Mitchell played his last game for NT....Ark St is still celebrating upset win over Mid Tenn....Johnny Jones is a crazy coach...always athletic teams with greyhounds everywhere...little discipline with guys shooting from all over...but Mitchell is the stud...and in these tourney games studs always rise to the occasion..
