Wrong team favored...it should be Niagara -5 to -8....other then the two teams played each other over a month ago and Purple won 73-70. at home..but since that peter loss they have lost the next 6 games..many have been close games like their 3 overtime loss to Siena...Peter has a problem on offense...how many times have I said that here...Dunne is an excellent coach...last yr he had a few players that coul score and play defense...this yr all he has is defensive players...they rank 313th on offense,300th in FG%,and the worst cannot rebound 331th, on defense they hold teams to 68 points ranking them 73rd...FG%Def,3 pt def is pretty good..but getting def rebounds is still a big problem..Griffin is there best scorer,but IDowu has come on lately..but there top rebounder on the team is 6'4 Taylor a gd... they are a small team and Dunne plays 4 gds a lot...5'9,6'0,6,1...Ene is 6'6 and Ido 6'7...there lateral defense is outstanding and switching playing man is sometimes like a clinic...but you have to score...Turner has 28 the other nite and 2 and 4 the next 2 games...
Now Purple is loaded on offense. avg 83 pts,23rd in the nation..they have won 7 of last 8...just beat Canisius who was in 1st place ..scored 105 points in an ot game...they have the best gd tandem in the country with Dukes and Scott..these 2 guys have both scored 20 pts or more in 15 games so far... but not only do they score they both have 78 and 63 assists....they have Prochet and Robb at 6'8 inside..Pro has improved the most avgs 8 bds a game...and 5'10 Towns comes in the other nite and scores 31 pts...what
another scorer..Purple have won 8 road games tied for No 1 in the nation..they have won 4 of last 6 at Peter...so why aren't they 19-0...ahhh defense...c'mom you can't have everything...Purple give up 84 pts a game...rank 326th in 3 pt fg %,and 333 on defensive bds...there has to be a reason Peter is favored at home...but Purple has way to much offense with Dukes and Scott..Peter in there 1st game didn't slow them down..they combined for 44 pts..but think Purple has really gotten a lot better since their last game...
Love Purple to win outright and will play the moneyline too...Peter gets a small crowd at Yantelli on a Friday nite in Jersey City....and Dukes and Scout should score big....

URI can score big but they play great defense..VCU has won a few at home but think they meet a monster tonite..

Bulls are now 9-1 after Kent beat them the other nite...Bulls up by 13 vs Kent and 2nd half just tanked...but they are coming home..already beat WM by 10 at their place.. Harris was high scorer..they have 4 different players that could be the high scorers each nite...CJ is going against the one player who might beat him out for MAC POY in Wilder....but WM doesn't have the horses around Wilder....he is a future NBA gd.Bulls get back on track and send the Broncos over the falls back to Michigan.

Love the Griffs tonite...they had won 4 in a row but lost 105-89 vs Niagara...this is one talented team with Crumpton and Reese...this 2 are like the Purples duo...I think right now hey are the best team in the MAAC...shoot well,can score,rebound,play defense..Foxes have done better but have 5 scholarship players that play a lot from Iceland,Norway,Denmark.. Parker is there one stud and he's from Connecticut I think..Foxes problem is defense...no post players or inside scorers...Funk,Knudson,Sjoberg are all jump shooters and have to be open...Parker does a great job penetrating and dishing..but Reese and Crumton will be to much.. Griffs might lose to a Niagara or Iona but not to a Marist...
Monmouth -2.5 over Fairfield **
Stags have lost 7 of 9...even though they beat Iona 103-100...the other day.. Nelson had 36 pts and hit 5 tres's...Hawks have won 2 straight...at home..
Siena +1 over Manhattan **
Both teams are bad...Jaspers have much more talent on the court but playing up in Albany Jaspers history there is real bad...Pastos is fighting for his job despite graduating 4 1,000 scores last yr...think Saints hang on at home..MC has lost 6 of last 9,and the saints 7 of last 10..MC is 1-6 ats vs the saints in Albany
Quinn +13 over Iona **
Iona is and always will be the Jeckal and Hyde of hoops..they finally start to play good and play some defense..and then lose to fairfield who had lost 7 in a row 103-100...Iona wins 5 straight then loses the next 2 of 3...meanwhile Quinn who was probably the worst team in the MAAC has won 3 in a row...Bundu,Young and Kelley playing great..and Daniels ..one of the best MAAC players in the conf has been in hibernation..scoring 11 pts and 4 bds...he should be scoring 15-17 pts a game and getting about 8-9 bds...but he might get it tonite vs Iona's defense...I'll grab this many points..but Iona could win this 99-66...who knows..but I'll grab a few pts tonite..

went to the Texas St Coastal game last nite...had the under at 128.5...Coastal won by 2 in OT..56-54..it was a dreamers game to watch if you had the under half time score 24-23...game ended 49-49 to overtime..I didn't even flinch...OT score was 7-5...final score 56-54...I really enjoyed the 3 pt show...Tex shot 5-25 from the 3 and Coastal shot 7-24...so sitting in the 3rd row I got to see 13-49 from 2 D-1 teams ...and of the 49 shots maybe 2 were contested..open jumpers...I swear if I had my converse sneakers on I would of gone out there and hit a few...as long as they were not contested...
