Love these friday and sunday MAAC league games...it's done to help these student-athletes to spend more time with there "academia". I hope you guys out there apprecaite that...because we do all care about everyones graduation rate and GPA's...instead of ats,over-unders,home and aways...and can anyone in this league play defense.. speaking of defense..
Niagara +1 over Towson **
NU on the road is suspect.Lost to Liberty by 5 last week.Fisher is either the best player or 2nd best player in the conf.He hit 8 tre's on friday vs Rider.NU plays 3 gds with 6'10 Egemonge in the middle.They have no bench or any depth what so ever.They are a terrible defensive team..they will just out score you.Fisher is a stud at 6'3.He really can play all 5 positions..looks like a little Barkley with his body...Towson Has a solid 6'8 post player in Hairston...they have little Durants brother from Texas,and 2 or 3 gds.Problem is they can't shoot esp from the 3.Think Purple finally gets a road win but this game should be close.If NU gets into any foul trouble they could be in trouble.
Loy Md -2.5 over Manhattan **
Greyhounds are amazing.This is a pretty good team but they play so bad.Iona blows them out.Brown is the 3rd best player in the confavg 20 pts a game.Tuck inside and Isreal can be explosive.Sullivan,Harvey,Miles are decent gds...don't understand this team.. I know they cannot play defense but..MC is playing good and they do play defense.But they have only 2 or 3 scorers in Austin and co.They stary 4 sophs and 1 senior.A guard attack with 4..think Jaspers have trouble on the road and the greyhounds wake up after there whipping at Iona.
Siena -13.5 over Iona ***
Love this siena team..Hasbrouck is 18 pts shy of 1,000..Ubiles and Franklin are tough...Duell is finding himself..Fisher the best 3 pt shooter in NY HS history scored in double d's for the 1st time.They avg 86 pts a game..but they rebounding is bad and..the saints can't play defense..they rank 323 giving up 82 pts a game..Iona won a big game at home..think they have trouble today up in Albany..
Nebraska -12 over Rutgers **
RU can't shoot,no perimeter game,FT%,no pt gd,etc Neb does have 6'10 Maric who should get the ball 50 times today.Neb plays about 4 or 5 gds.There offense isn't great but they do play decent defense.
Brown +15 over Providence **
Brown is a peasky little team with guys like McAndrew,Huffman,frosh Fiske..think they stay around and attack Prov zone..
Nova -4 over Temple *
St Joes +7 over Creighton *
