Valpo +1 over Oakland **
Don't do to many Horizon games except Valpo...been hitting a few with them....Valpo is one of the hotest teams around winning 10 of 11...Oak has won 4 in a row..both teams have good ats records depending on how you look at them...both teams don't miss FT's..Valpo is 3rd in the country shooting almost 80%..but Oak isn't to far behind...Oak beat them by 12 the 1st time they played...think Valpo gets its revenge and can almost put away the conf title with a win...Peters is the stud and one of the best players in the country...Valpo plays good on the rd and think they win this tonite...

Ark St -7 over Ark Little Rock ****
Need to get back 3 of my 6 *'s I lost in San Marcus the other nite...got to see Ark LR way back in that Texas Open..got to see Ark St close up Monday nite...so my eye test favors Ark St...Ark at home play tough..score more,play better defense,shoot better,etc..opposite for LR on the road...Ark coach runs his pt gd Lindsay from behind and brings him up.. Carter the 6'4 gd actually plays point...Thomas the other 6'4 gd is solid...this is a very talented team...they should of beaten the Bobcats the other nite but they couldn't hit from the 3,,but Texas was in there faces on defenses...the two 40 foot 3's's really hurt them esp when you played great defense and the shot clock went to to the buzzer....think Ark St is the better team...LR is 0-5 on last league rd games..I remember Jackson and Johnson because they didn't have much around them...Ark St is 10-0 at home..they have to be upset losing to Tx St and think they win this by double digits....

Iona -10 over Marist ****
I hate backing iona..they really suck but always have talent...they have lost 2 of last 3...just lost to Canisius 89-83...they avg 80 pts a game but give up 76....any team they play almost gets seasons highs even if they lose...they love the 3 and have guys that can hit them...I remember last yr I went to the Iona game....I was there watching Iona warm up....so nonchalant .....they were shooting 3's from 35-40 feet out...all dunking on the layup line,slapping backwards,throwing alley oops dunks....so undisciplined ...at the other end Marist was doing layups and passing drills...they looked so focused....I had played Iona big but would of wanted to switch my play...thank god I didn't because Iona won 102-63....Williams hit 8-8 from the 3 and some of them was from where he was warming up...so much for my pre-game drill theory...anyway Iona has a lot of talent..Marist has no interior players..Washington is 6'8 and scores inside...Cassell,McGill,etc can shoot..Much has scored his 2 seasons highs vs the Foxes....Iona won 93-80 the 1st time..Foxes had 15 turnovers to Iona's 4...Can see the foxes with Hart and Parker staying with them for awhile but with 10 minutes to go the Gaels will put it in 5th gear and pull away...Foxes rank in the 300's in rebounding,FG%,3 pt def %,etc.....iona is 10-6 in league play and need to pass Peter who is 11-6 to get the 2 seed and the bye...

Rider has lost 3 of last 4 but beat the Griffs at their place 72-66...Griffs are the UNLV of the MAAC scoring 80 pts a game...but are giving up 79 pts...ranked 318th...just beat iona so their heads are swelled..are log jammed at 9-7 in the league..think there are 4-6 teams within a game of each other..Rider is 7-9..and lost their superstar pt gd Jordan..but 5'9 Ives has replaced him.. Rider has 3 fds inside that are tough,,Griffs biggest problem is they can't defend the paint...Lundy,Thomas and Cory are tough inside...if Broncos can play some defense and slow down the Running Griffs think they could beat them outright...
Fairfield -1.5 over Quinn ***
Stags are on a roll...won 5 of last 6...they win on the rd and cover...they play some fast break,transition basketball...they have the best shooter in Nelson..solid pt gd,Sidbe inside who has 10,14 and 12 bds in last 3 games...Miln is back from injury and Johnson the other gd has scored 15,16,18 in last few games,, Cobb is playing great...they quietly have creep ed up to 8-7 in the conf....and they play some defense....Quinn even though they lost their last 2 games are dangerous....there 2 freshman Kiss and Dixon are outstanding....these 2 kids can flat out play...Quin can score but cannot play defense ..they give up 81 pts a game..they beat Fairfield the 1st time..think Stags will not take them lightly this time because Quinn is now 7-9 in the league...Moore the coach has been there 10 years..he gets the MAAC coach of the yr award...but lets wait till after the Fairfield game today..
