Rider -7.5 over Marist ***** strong play
Watched the Foxes the other nite vs Cansius.Griffs were in control thru out the game.Foxes made a run and got it down to 9 and then Griffs went on a big run.Marist surprised Griifs by playing a 2-3 zone.Since Griffs can't shoot from the outside they pounded the ball inside.Marist has no interior defense.Rider who everyone in the MAAC is trying to figure out what is happening.Coach says"were playing in a funk".And they are.Losing to Iona at home by 20 the other day.Iona pressed them all game and Rider had problems.
These two teams met way back in early Dec and Rider won by 4 at their place.Thompson was held to 1 pt and Rider shot 6-26 from the 3.The team shot 19-61.Marist did just as bad.
Rider has 2 solid gds in Robinson and Thompson[pre-season POY}. A front line that can rebound and score.Marist has no scorers,all young players with little interior defense.They rank in the 300's in almost every NCAA stat including FT%.
There is no crowd what so ever.The Griff game the other nite was half empty.Rider should be able to get it together tonite vs this very weak team that is 1-14.
Niagara -5 over Peter **** strong play.
Peter can score with their 2 gds..Jenkins and Leon.Frontline is playing better but NU is explosive with its starting 5.I can see it close for awhile but Blinn and co. should win this game by 10 or more.NU is inconsistent,shoots 3 from all over,no discipline what so ever.Coach yells from the bench " run a play".But that falls on deaf ears. Because they will run and gun.But still think they have to much talent and are athletic and cover.
Iona -1 over Loy Md. **
Watched them also the other day.Harvey Greyhounds pt gd is hurting.He was back and then reinjured his shoulder again.Iona presses the whole game.Think they wear down the Hounds tonite.Not sure of harvey status.If he's out like Iona even more.
Siena -15 over Canisius **
Griffs coming from a big win at Marist.Siena is playing on all 6 cylinders.Turner did a great job penetrating Foxes defense.Think he gets slowed down tonite.
Love Rider big time tonite.Cannot see Marist staying with them esp. w/o a big home crowd.Maybe many should pass on this pick.I did terrible yesterday hitting airballs on every play esp. Kansas who I loved.But its the way I capp and I'm sticking with it.I have had great days,good days,avg days,bad days and horrendous days like yesterday.I think many of us doing this hit any of one of the above.Sometimes I feel to close to some teams because I watch them all the time.
I remember way back Miss St -Rider.I loved Miss St with a few boxes.Rider goes out an upsets them....anyway,playing the broncos tonite. They might have shot 23% last time out with the Foxes but not tonite. GL
