Rider -2.5 over Marist ****
Think this line is off some....Rider is 3-1 in the MAAC...tied for 1st place....they have 3 6'7 fds in Thomas,Carey and Lundy who all avg in double d's and avg 4,11 and 7 bds...Taylor is a solid gd back from last yr and has been there for ever...but Broncos don't have a true pt gd...I thought that would be their biggest problem all year...the 3 except Carey all started last yr...Carey is one of those grad kids that played at Southern Miss...in comes 5'10 Jordan a freshman...at the point...and he has made all the difference....can dribble,score and pass....probably the best freshman in the MAAC conf...Rider has the best front court in the MAC...and there one weakness has been answered....Foxes beat Manhattan the other nite...in OT....they just packed the zone in and Jaspers just continued to shoot and shoot and shoot and miss and miss and miss...MC got 16 offensive bds and still lost..Foxes coach out foxed MC's coach...Maker also had Parker the 6'2 top rebounding gd play center...once he had the ball at the high post he could turn around and pass,penetrate or shot...great coaching job...something I did all through my career. Hart is tough and Funk is a 6'3 gd that can shoot..inside Brooks and Sjoberg are weak....see them having a tough nite vs Broncos front line...think rider wins this by 6-10 pts....there was no crowd at Poughkeepsie the other nite..maybe 300 people all adults like me...no cheerleaders,no bands no students...I sat right behind the visiting teams bench...row 1...a guest of a faculty member.... was not going to tonites game..but they have a ticket for me at the will call...so will attend the game in a few hours...report back tomorrow
