well this is how Ball St got their 7 points...

BSU got off to a good start, missing an early field goal attempt, then blocking a Mizzou ( MIZ...ZOU!) punt and capitalizing for a quick score, so it could have been 10-0 early on. That was about it for the Cardinals. I don't think they threatened to score again until the final minutes and early in the second half U of M started working their subs into the rotation., even sitting out star QB Brad Smith for major minutes. Smith would remind you very much of Joshua Cribbs of Kent State, however he has the advantage of playing with other good players.

I guess Brad Smith left the game with a mild concussion

I gotta go with Eastern Michigan +21 (-120)

Yeaaaa I know they lost to I-AA Western Illinois - but give that school some credit here...Western Illinois is one of the best I-AA schools and they can beat some I-A schools. In fact, I wish the MAC would drop UCF and Buffalo and bring up Western Illinois and Youngstown St up to da MAC.

Eastern has a pretty decent QB. He has a pretty good arm and is pretty accurate. He wont be making the same terrrrrrrrrible decisions that Jeff Crooks did. Eastern has always had good running backs, but they just take a damn beating cuz they carry the ball alot. Anthony Sherrel doesnt look toooooo bad I suppose. I mean they are playing Akron. Akron would lose to Western Illinois! Akron cant stop the run -- no matter who they are playing...so Iam thinking EMU is gonna actaully have a chance to mix up the playbook for once. A little bit of pass...a little bit of run. I know Akron can put up 50 points here...but if EMU can just give me 21 points (which I think they can) - then they will cover. Hell, EMU beat Akron last year...so who knows

IMO, Akron has NO business laying 20 points TO ANYBODY! Not even Buffalo. Yea so what if that offense is electric...that defense is pitiful!! Eastern is gonna get their yards - and ppl are riding Akrons nuts as if they are the MAC Daddys. Only reason they are getting all this pub is cuz they were on ESPN 60000 trillion times last year about Leftwiches injury and how they beat Marshall.

I think Vegas is just trying to suck everyone in to take Akron...just cuz its under 21 points. Well, Iam not a sucker...WOOF

Hellah,

I like the Pitt play, personally I feel that Cribbs is better than anything that Ball State can throw out at QB and Pitt handled him all day. Got to disagree with you on the Zips, Owens needs this game badly and as long as Frye stays healthy the Zips should score at will, the defense played better vs Wisky and EMU is terrible this year a whole new backfield, but EMU has owned this series versues the spread.

What do you think the line will be when BGSU invades Cbus?

well all depends what OSU does against NC St. BG has Liberty this Saturday, so basically a bye week. I think OSU will lay 17 points.

Minnesota -19.5

Minnesota just looks great right now. They are blowing by the competition (yea I know they are weak opponents..but still)

Ohio has too many starters out...

  • 1. Running back Justin Roush
    2. Guard Brian Brown
    3. MAYBE Cornerback Chip Cox
    4. MAYBE Quarterback Fred Ray

Too many freshman are replacing these guys...

also, If Fred Ray isnt playing...then Ryan Hawk is playing. He`s 6'2" 200lbs and is a transfer from Miami(OH) - and in this offense you need a fast QB, and Hawk does not have the speed Ray does...

Not mention OU put it to Minnesota the last time they played in the Metrodome, winning outright as a 3 TD dog! I'm sure Mason doesn't forget that and will put 21 up in about 10 minutes. If OU does get down, they'll go with the no D, put it up on O phiolosophy and won't make up the difference. Not a good day coming for the Bobcats... of course there's always Uptown after the game :toast:

...by the way, good info, Omar...keep it coming. ;)

Chad, apparently that image is some type of Zen sensual foot sex move where the woman lubes up her foot in oils and slowly thrusts it thusly in my groinal area, thus making Mr.Happy do some type of anglo celtic dance whilst spilling manjuice in about ten minutes......?

if so, yes, your'e right.:D

Miami(OH) -3

I can see why Miami is favored on the road here. Its not like "they have no business laying points on the road" Cuz they certainly do. Northwestern has no bit of defense what so ever and let a option team like Air Force score on them. Weak run defense as always and never did have a secondary. The way Northwestern runs thier defense should fit Rothlisberger very wellllll. Northwestern running a 3-3-5 scheme. Yea I know it may take away the deep ball, but it opens up the running game, the screens (they run alot of), and the QB Draw (Big Ben CAN run good). Probably alot of short passes I see going on here. And not also did they lose to Air Force, they lost in the FOURTH quarter!

On the offense here for Northwester, they run a spread which shouldnt be shit to Miami. They see spread from their own team along with Toledo, Marshall, UCF, Akron, and BG. Brett Basamez stinks. He got picked 4 times. Thats 6 picks in the first 2 games!!! He`s obviously pron to making pooor decisions...and I can promise all of you that Miami defense will be better then Air Force and Kansas D.

Also...

Saturday, Northwestern linebacker coach Pat Fitzgerald punched an Air Force quarterback (a future officer in the United States Air Force) on the field in Evanston, Illinois.

No drama....?!?!?
