2 units kent state (-8) over miami
i basically echo goat's sentiments on this one. kent is just a much better team than miami, and thats enough to make me consider them here. throw in the fact that kent is coming off a rare weak home performance, and throw in the fact that kent is retiring the numbers of the 4 seniors from last years elite 8 team- this looks to be a spot for kent to get a convincing win. andrew mitchell actually said yesterday he thinks this years kent team is BETTER than his elite 8 team last year. pretty strong words. its up to gates and co. to prove him right from here on out to through the tournament. flashes should win by 13-15 points imo

No matter how the Flashes fare tonight Andrew is being much too modest. This years Kent team is nowhere near the level of last seasons team that made it to the final 8.

They miss Mitchell's quicks, Shaw's overall tenacity and Trevor's deadly shot and court savvy.

Both Mitchell and Shaw were terrific defenders and all three provided leadership and a spark that seem to be missing from this years squad which is a step slow and does not D up like last years edition of the Flashes. Shaw in particular, was a favorite of mine because he did not get much ink, but did everything well.

The loss of coach Heath is also a factor to consider.

hindsight is 20/20- but even though it cashed- kent state 2h probably would have been a wiser bet as opposed to playin the original (-8). clearly, the ceremony at half time inspired kent to sack and and show some balls in the 2h. but ill take this win nonetheless.

cowboys picked up an impressive win in vegas on saturday, but i dont think they sweep this trip. aztecs should win comfortably
