NIU update

Injuries

Dan Sheldon underwent successful surgery on Sunday for a dislocated elbow at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. Defensive end Travis Moore's ankle injury has been upgraded to severe and he could be out longer than originally expected. Defensive end Quince Holman suffered a shoulder strain and will miss Saturday's game. Linebacker Javan Lee is listed as day-to-day.

So, just to be absolutely clear, if I wasn't interested in taking all these MAC games, but wanted to trust you for one or two big ones, which one or two would that be? Thanks!

NY Reb - Central Michigan is my best bet - in fact, damn near another GOY, but Iam not one of those cappers who have a "lock" or "GOY" or "Outlaws" every damn week - so I would say CMU is a VERYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Strong play for me

Western Michigan would certainly be my second. I love them in this spot - they are a very underrated team with a potent offense!

Another NIU Update....

Wonder if Vegas got a hold of this piece ;) (Iam sure they did before me lol)

"When bugs attack: NIU had some unwanted visitors this week during practice. The asian lady beetles that have plagued the campus invaded Huskie Stadium, serving as a nusance for the Huskies.

Sam Hurd was bit twice in his eye, and David McDermott was bit about 18 times during practice on Tuesday.

"It's the worst," Hurd said. "They get in your vision. They bit my eye twice. I don't know how I caught the ball. It's a big distraction."

Seems like NIU had a rough week of practice....and didnt accomplish what they wanted to do in practice. Even better...
:) :D

Bump to the first page, riding the OU Bobcats -1- for their first MAC win. Any word on Fred Ray although Hawk has filled in well, Ray is their offense. Good luck this week Hellah..

unicorn - yea UCF is just in shambles. And they think the Big East or the ACC is gonna invite them!?!?!? They cant keep their players eligble and have no depth. They are in Florida - which means they should have great athletes, despite FSU, UF, and UM taking them all. They brag how they recruit the best JUCOs - but the result....big ol L's

Elvis - my record this season is:

YTD
22-17 56% ATS
3-4 MLs

The 3 MLs are, Kent +340, Toledo +375 & +275

Iam not off to the start that I expected too - then again, I couldnt cap the conference like I usually do. I usually start in June, but obviously I wasnt here...not that Iam using that as an excuse, but it sure doesnt help when I dont know who cant play or the depth etc.. etc... but entering MAC play, I expect to do better. being 5 games over .500 is not acceptable to me.

Good Luck to ya :)
