dont want to get too crazy with the nit, but this game is sort of flying under the radar because of all the ncaa tourney opening day hype.
going to take a shot on creighton (-5.5)
there's no doubt that akron is talented enough to hang here, but this is one of those games where one team will be very fresh while the other could be running on fumes. creighton has been off for almost two weeks now and even though they didnt make the ncaa tourney as an at-large it looks as though theyre going to have a good crowd for this nit game tonight. the jays also took advantage of the layoff to get some guys back and healthy. akron is playing their 4th game in 8 days with none of them being at home. so they've been bounced from cleveland to philly and now to omaha within the last week. zips have come a long way this year and will be mac favorites next season. but 2005-2006 will probably end with a DD loss tonight.
