NO! NO! NO! Buffalo is the last team I want to try to beat...But, if you say so and its the first and only game you have posted...I go along reluctantly...Damn it!

What a cute story huh? Here u have the MACs bottom feeders finally have something good to cheer about. With all the embarrassment this program has been through?with the shitty football program and a basketball program that hasn?t done shit. On January 25th, something exciting happened?something?rare?.the Bulls went on the road and beat a talented Huskies team?and won both halves. From that point on, they won 11 of 13 to end the season. I applaud their efforts?through all the injuries, the shitty fans, the shitty facilities, and to constantly get laughed at by the other MAC?sters. They have been playing so well lately, that they have grabbed the eyes of everybody?.including Vegas.
I don?t remember the last time Buffalo layed double digits?shit, they prolly never have. But I suppose the number should be right. I mean they have been blowing teams out and holding a team like Ohio to 18 first half points. But folks?Ive been following the MAC for a veryy long time, and if there is one thing that has been consistent?it has been that the tournament is a new season?where you can throw out what you?ve done in the regular season and play with a new slate. Look at Boston U ? 23 wins and they aint going to the big dance cuz they lost in round 1. Hell, Charlie Coles is the best example of this, doesn?t do great in the regular season?but usually finds his way into the MACC game. Coincidence? I dunno. I just know that Northern Illinois was preseason favorites to win the MAC West. Now they were favored to win that for a reason?simple reason. They have 2 of the best players in the MAC in PJ Smith and Marcus Smallwood. By far the best rebounder in the MAC and one of the best in the nation in Smallwood. In fact, NIU leads the MAC in rebounding and is 3rd in scoring defense allowing 65 a game. NIU has in fact been one of the best defenders in the MAC for the last few years now?
While Buffalo has been opening up peoples eyes, NIU has been hot under the radar as well. Unfortunately they got blown out in their final game at Western ? but that coulda been a good thing with the line I got with this game. Ever since Smallwood has come back into the lineup ? they have been a better team that hasn?t been turning the ball over, that has played better as a team, and is back to what made them good ? defense.
I think the matchup between Battle and Smallwood is going to be great. I think Battle is a great player if not the best in Buffalo Basketball history. Obviously the offense runs through him and his 2nd hand man Yassin Ibihi. I'm not worried about Battle getting his share, but I am concerned with Ibihi. A very big man that has been improving each game, and I think NIU will have their hands full with him?.but I honestly think Buffalo will have no answer for PJ Smith. He?s been a force to reckon with yet again this season.
BUTTTTT the main reason why I'm on NIU is simeple.

All talking Buffalo, playing Buffalo?yet they haven?t seen or listened to a single game?and prolly never even looked at the box score ? most prolly don?t even know who Turner Battle is. On top of the public forums being on this, I have already received 32 emails?that?s right THIRTY TWO emails on how great Buffalo is playing and how -10 is a gift. Been getting IMs and still getting IMs about Buffalo.
Well let me ask you guys this?.with almost everybody in their mother on Buffalo?.why hasn?t this line moved? Early money was on NIU?opened up at 11?dropped to 10?and now some places have 10.5 Now you`d think this line would jump to 12 or 13 with every tom dick and harry on them. In my opinion?..Vegas see`s what I see?.They see the public being fawked with by having a carrot dangle in front of their faces about a program they have never followed or cared about before. This is the MAC Tournament?what was done in the regular season doesn?t mean a damn thing. As far as I'm concerned NIU is 0-0 and Buffalo is 0-0?I know NIU will look at it that way, how will Buffalo on their ultimate high think of it??? Will they take this as a regular game in front of 8000+ fans(if they show) or will they realize that the tournament is a second chance for those who were meant to win in this conference?.teams like NIU?
